A mixture of portraits and landscapes taken with my Mamiya C330 and a mixture of Ilford HP5 and Delta
I'd never done a collar like this before. I followed the directions and had faith that it would turn out perfect and it did. Lovely pattern.

A 29 turn three inch diameter coil is used as tunned loop antenna. The 2N3904 is configured as an emmiter follower, offering very little load to this circuit and positve feedback. This multiplies the Q and gives increased gain. This stage is controlled by adjusting the voltage applied to it with a 10K potentiometer and associated components.
The signal is taken from the1K emitter resistor and further amplified by a BC109 transistor configured in the common emitter mode. Detection is achived by the 1N4148 diode before being applied to the LM386 audio amplifier. I have used a 64R miniture speaker as this reduces the current fluctuations caused by this stage that are prone to cause instability in this style of receiver.
