Here we have a photo I shot in 2009 of a M4A3 Sherman. It's still at the Carlisle Army Heritage Museum in Carlisle, PA. From what I understand, these tanks were quite the formidable force at the start of it's use in WWII, but near the end, it was known as a death trap against the more powerful German Tiger tanks.
A tank similar to this is what was featured in the recent Hollywood movie, Fury. It's also seen air time in numerous other movies. Of course we have to remind ourselves that war is it's main purpose, and I can't imagine the hell these things could bring......both to the tank crews, and to it's enemies.

What I do is replace every pixel with custom painted 1" hardwood cubes, creating a real life representation of your favorite sprite.
