Bookstore section sign at Pegasus Books, Berkeley, CA, brought to mind by the Stamen blog's link to Mike Migurski's 2007 prediction that design and math would move a lot closer together.
Display was set up with cars already coloured by class placed on the lines of the 'car park'. Number plates were also written by the class and I asked individual children to place their numer plates on the relevant 'car park' level. This was a display to show odd and evens, place value and sequencing.

This math equation made my day. I had an answer key but this one wasn't in it and I was still able to solve it. though I'm not sure how often a person needs to know the base of 2 triangles when the combined base and the height are known.
