Trying to capture the difficulty of math homework is pretty hard, with all the formulas and shapes, but hopefully, I got just a glimpse.
i used a cheap knock-off jenga set and wrote math problems on each wood piece (easy sums in one color, more difficult sums in another color to extend the life of the game. if you get the problem right, you keep the piece. if you are wrong, you have to put the piece on the top of the tower. the one with the most pieces when the tower collapses is the winner. we like this game!

Display was set up with cars already coloured by class placed on the lines of the 'car park'. Number plates were also written by the class and I asked individual children to place their numer plates on the relevant 'car park' level. This was a display to show odd and evens, place value and sequencing.
