Por ser el valle del Maule una zona reconocida por su variada concentración de viñedos, la arquitecta Macarena Ávila planteó su obra como un modelo de relación laboral entre mandante y trabajador agrícola, otorgando un lugar que cumpliera con la parte que no se encuentra normada y que no es una exigencia para esta área del sector económico, como es el esparcimiento y el descanso.
Viña Casa Donoso, reconocida por su excelencia en vinos , es la que se interesa y financia el desarrollo de esta obra de título, esto con el objetivo de entregar a sus trabajadores y a turistas un lugar de recogimiento entre el follaje de las viñas .
Se comenzó el diseño en mayo del 2006 y como principal elemento del proyecto fue la utilización, mediante reciclaje, de alrededor de 50 barricas que ya habían terminado su vida útil como contenedora del vino pasando a formar parte del desecho de la viña.
Los alumnos del Grado en Artes Escénicas realizaron una lectura coral de Medea material, del dramaturgo y escritor alemán Heiner Müller, el martes 27 de mayo en el Campus de La Berzosa.
Esta lectura, que tuvo lugar en la capilla del Campus de La Berzosa, se enmarcó dentro de las actividades de la asignatura Habla Escénica, impartida por la profesora Marina Aznar Urgel.
Medea material es una de las grandes obras de la escena contemporánea, en la que Müller recupera el mito de la hechicera y el argonauta. Los alumnos de Artes Escénicas plasmaron con su voz toda la fuerza y desgarradora vitalidad de esta pieza.

Gorse is an invasive weed and Weed of National Significance. Gorse Spider Mites have been released as part of the integrated control of this invasive species. The photo shows how the Gorse is being weakened by the bio control. This site is a Gorse Spider Mite nursery, so that infected plant material can be harvested from here and moved to other Gorse infestations.
