In any event the scent to follow is on Nature's path
no moon nor sun can distract this wholly wonderful bypath
for once the clouds dance, no longer the lath of the sky
racing Cumulus heartbeats pulsate with Winter to decry
rejoice at last in the hearty hinterland of Spring merriment
only a step is enough to partake in humble sequent...
so are you at the ready, light the Olympian beam of March light
across that horizon so steady yet squirming to one's eyesight
it awaits the vision clearing the way for Spring-omened warmth
that encouragement to be digested with a tizane so roomth
replenished hopes a plenty can the play of light march any further?
yes, it is assured, this ubiety clings to truth like birds of a feather,
we are one instilled into the silence of evolving swings of season
you hear in yourself the shadow of time gravitating to the edge of reason
apparently helpless we're bisected into bystanders of elements stage
watching, applauding and then partaking with the gift to engage
here we stand with gusto as the doors open for Earth's dramaturgy
every day a serial recorded into the motherland's divine hierourgy.

Apparently, I always bring the sun and good weather, LOL
Nice eh?
The trees still bare, the last year's reeds waving in the still cold wind.
Have a great day and thanks for your comments and visits, M, (*_*)

It has become my tradition this time of year to "look back" over the last 11 months and choose images from each that I didn't get around to posting for some reason or another.

I took this shot near my daughters home in Ramsbottom Lancashire England.
When I grew up near by this landscape there were no wind turbines around.
I found this red-eared slider turtle marching down a path at Veteran's Oasis Park in Chandler, AZ. Turtles aren't super common here in the desert, but they do exist. Red eared sliders are not native to Arizona. They are a very common pet store turtle so this is probably a pet gone wild.

▶ "No Kings protests took place on October 18, 2025, as part of a series of demonstrations taking place largely in the United States against Donald Trump's policies and actions during his second presidency. The demonstrations, which followed the June 2025 No Kings protests, took place in some 2,700 locations across the country, including the National Mall in Washington, D.C., Chicago, New York City, [and Atlanta].
Approximately 200 organizations collaborated to coordinate the October protests, which drew nearly 7 million participants nationwide, marking it as one of the largest single-day demonstrations in American history."

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Spring water for some Springtime sunlight and the start of the al fresco season in the city. On a side note The Waters of March, or Águas de Março in Portugese, is a beautiful song and I love the Anya Marina cover from 2008 in particular. Enjoy our days growing longer and brighter this season!
There's nothing like a sunny day at the beach, I sat down in the sand and let this group of Marbled Godwits 'march' past me as they went to the water!
Of course, they all kept an eye on me as they quickly went by!
I'm getting closer to a respectable photo of our new regular, the sapsucker, but still haven't quite pulled off a sharp one that does him/her justice. I had a bit of a scare yesterday when I pulled into my driveway and saw a cooper's hawk flying out of the sapsucker's well-tree. Fortunately it didn't get anything, and today I just managed a couple photos of the sapsucker bathing in the pond before it flew off. It's cold (lows in the 30s F) but the sun is out, for now, and all the fruit trees are blossoming. I have a week off coming up soon and by then rain is back in the forecast, but who knows.... Red-breasted sapsucker, backyard Olympia.
The same morning as this shot, back in March.
I'm going through old shots because I don't have much recent stuff worth uploading. I need someone to give me a good swift kick to get me out shooting.
The first of a short series of negative scans from March 1980. Most of my negs of the period are scratched beyond redemption, but this set were still perfect.
