Staff members from Chardon Library and the Bookmobile hit the streets of Chardon during the annual Maple Festival.
Another nice day and today is warmer than yesterday, so I want to take some photos with red leaves. Remember I took some photos in Boys Town with several red maple trees, so I go there again. Only one tree has turned red totally. It's so pretty!
Mara loved the little hummocks of moss (apparently related to Irish moss) when she saw them at Home Depot. Katrina thought they looked like green muffins.

A Japanese Red Maple up the street from our house. I planted three of these in our front yard a few years ago and they're doing great, but they're not nearly this big yet.
The park is home to the last climax beech-maple forest in Michigan, which occupies 200 acres (0.81 km2); the remaining area consists of floodplain oak-hickory forest.
