(34.365) The end of the Japanese Maple Challenge! has finally come. Shooting the same tree every day for seven days presents a fun and unique challenge - being both remarkably easy and difficult all at once.

I was hoping to come up with something different today, but time and weather weren't cooperating with me. So I ended up with this macro. I can't say for sure what I wished this picture was, but maybe when I do, you'll see it on here.

Now back to finding other subjects for the 365 Project. Only 331 days to go.

If I remember correctly, this is Ruthie, mother to Louie, miniature Spanish Donkeys. They are both very friendly, and will come to the fence to say hi, and look for a scratch or two, but, Louie is the jealous type, and bigger than his mom, so he sometimes pushes her away.

A Maple leave on our parking lot.

I love the bright reds on a Maple tree. We have one right across the street in front of the school and I found these three that made me think of papa, mama and baby leaf.

These leafs provide a very scenic backdrop in the fall.

Japanese maple in my front yard

Taken July 2, 2008

I warmed this one up a bit, but I confess I did like the cold, magenta colors in it before I did. I didn't think it was very realistic that way (though probably was accurate), at least how our eyes expect leaves to look.
