this is the view from my kitchen window every morning. my neighbor's dog, rosie. she hears me making coffee in the kitchen, and begins the pout... the peering through the fence with the sad, sad eyes...
"where's my cookie?, can't you see I'm starving? don't you know that no one loves me? pleeeeezzz give me a cookie. I'm a good girl"
it can go on for hours
Shot about 15 minutes later than part I, with a smaller aperture and much longer exposure time. This time I managed to get the deep colors I was looking for. This is IMHO one of the better sunset shots I have managed to take.
Nikon D70. 80 mm, f/32, 30 second exposure, ISO 200, -2 EV. Shot from a tripod. Cropped and raw converted with DxO Optics Pro 5.3.

I was playing around yesterday and found myself re-manipulating a prior post just to see what would happen. I ended up with this, which kinda reminded me of some album cover from my parent's record collection I played with when I was a kid (I can't remember which, though). anway, it looks like he's center stage, with all those multi-colored lights shining down on him. I like it :)as with the b&w version, all of the post-processing was done via the raw converter - saturation and black points as high as they would go, and a sharp decrease in contrast was all it took. I find it amazing what you can sometimes find in a shot with just a few slides and clicks.oh, this will probably be my last post for a while. first, I'll be taking a week's vacation with the family starting saturday (with no net access - wahoo!), and the day after we get back I'm off to LA for business for a few days.!
but I'll be sure to post when I can - hopefully vacation will yield some decent shots of the kids and the sunrise over the ocean.

I think its only reasonable to manipulate model's/advert's from fashion magazines, as that is what they do to the minds of their readers!

The photo on the left is "ruined" because it got jammed due to my fingers being in front of the exit slot. Since it was going to turn out messed up anyway, I decided to try out film manipulation. The photo on the right was the idea I was going for but closer and with more of a head tilt.

Playing around with Photoshop. I used a baby's picture because it was handy with the right expression. I'm not a sadistic guy!
This rope was just there, beneath the front porch. I've no idea what purpose it was serving.
