Goodwood Revival is held every September over a 3 day period and everyone dresses up in period costume from the 40's, 50's and 60's. It is like stepping back in time. On site is Earls Court where there are themed displays of cars. This year, to celebrate the 60's and 60 years of the mini car, there was a re-enactment of a famous scene from the film The Italian Job, srarring Michael Caine. This was taken on the set. I was videoing the action when the Floor Manager came over. I quickly stopped the video and captured this cheeky portrait of the Floor Manager between shots.

I first noticed this pickup truck coming across the cornfields. Not in this photo (I had my long 150-600mm lens on!) is the corn harvester in action.

I spoke with the two men in the truck. They were the farm owner/managers checking up on their harvesting operation.

Those guys, those gentlemen, were very nice. They were true farmers with the sun beaten skin. It was fun to hear their country 'dialect' as they spoke. It was also nice that they took the time to chat while knowing that every minute the clock ticks away at their harvest time with rains (and maybe snow!) around the corner.

DOMINION ATLANTIC RAILWAY COMPANY

Land of Evangeline Route

FILE P-781

Kentville, March 8, 1960.

Conductor A. R. Morse,

Kentville:

I return herewith clipping which you left with the writer a few days ago. In view of the circumstances, there will be no objection to your retaining Ticket Punch (#123) on your retirement, and you may so arrange.

J.C. McLenarg (?)

Manager

Clipping reads: Once a conductor gets his punch, it is his for as long as he remains with the railroad. Many conductors have used the same punch for as long as half a century, then passed it on to a son who followed his father's footsteps. Sometimes a railroad will permit a conductor to keep his punch after he retires as a momento of his career. One conductor became so attached to his punch that he couldn't give it up. When he died, he was buried with his punch in his hand.

Bernabe is the manager of Salsa al Salsa in the Mall of America. On occasion we talk about beers, tequilas, and how kid today don't have any discipline in public.

That liesurely and gentle conversationalist turns into the consummate restranteur. He goes about it with hispanic passion and an artisan's precision.

Striolated Bunting, Adult, male.

I'd guess it would be in the flea weight category, (is there a flea weight category?) His odds don't look good in any case, and his manager doesn't look too optimistic either.

Don`t see many of those Renault trucks !

They looked around, confused, trying to find out how they got there. Just a second ago they were in their office, working mechanically in their reports: now, they are in the middle of Shibuya.

So I spot this guy from a distance. Figure him as an old hippie. Or maybe a retired sailor who will tell me that "I have sailed the seven seas, and here's my story". Not at all. This is Oscar Ian Borgström. He was waiting for his bus at Port 73 in Handen earlier today when I asked him if I could snap a few portraits with my new Chinese lens. I told him that it was the combination of a few things that made me want to take his photo. The big white beard, the deep tan, the sunglasses and of course the Hawaiian shirt. Turns out Oscar wasn't the old hippie I took him for. And he didn't sail the seven seas, and he never visited Hawaii. He is a former IT manager! And the closest thing to a hippie life in California was a trip to Nevada for a computer and electronics fair in Las Vegas back in the day. I'm sure Oscar could have told me a few interesting stories from his life, but just as I took up my notebook his bus home to Jordbro arrived.
