This we shall achieve by constructing bottle brick benches in the public spaces at the beach providing a lasting solution to plastic and polythene waste management at the beach and beyond. The bottle bricks are made by stuffing waste polythene into plastic bottles hence reliving the environment of the non biodegradable materials.

Managed to summit Mt. Carnarvon in Yoho this week with my dad, my cousin, and my uncle. We had quite good weather, nice warm air, and decent air quality given the many fires that are burning in BC--some haze for sure, but at least we weren't choking on that yellow-tinted air where you can't even see across a single valley. This is a peak that you definitely want to have good visibility, as the views are incredible.
I have done Emerald peak at least 4-5 times now, which is just to the east of Carnarvon. However Carnarvon is substantially higher (Emerald Peak looked more like a hill from on top). Of course, the approach trail to Hamilton lake is the same, and always feels like an endless grind of switchbacks. I mean, you do gain like 900m of elevation quite quickly, but it is a kick in the pants to start the day. Then again, if you decide to do Carnarvon, you better get used to the thighs burning, because the whole elevation gain is ~1750m, even more than doing Mt. Temple. The descent is equally unrelenting, but thankfully you can switch to autopilot once back at Hamilton Lake.
The ridgeline was pretty well marked with cairns, and we were able to navigate it pretty efficiently. There were a couple hands on sections, which were fairly easy. We were teased by views of at least 3 or 4 false summits, and even though I knew this mountain was a giant, it felt deceptively high. Thankfully, we had great weather and had no worries pushing to the summit and taking a nice half hour break. Great views of the Freshfields to the north, the President and VP, and of course wide open valley towards The Goodsirs and Mount Vaux, which are always a treat to see. Carnarvon also gives a unique view of the very west end of Yoho and the elusive Amiskwi region that sees very few visitors.
Our descent to Hamilton Lake went only a bit faster than the ascent, as we had to take our time on the steep rocky terrain, but at the lake we refilled water with our filter, and rinsed our sunbaked skin.
Then the long walk out from Hamilton Lake took us about 1.5 hr. All in all, it is a scramble that leaves you feeling quite accomplished. The height change alone is quite staggering, and the views are very nice. I think we took about 10 hours.
