The north side of the Polaris Building is too close to other building to use explosives, the building was built during the cold war with concrete doesn't help.
Alan Simpson makes a point as Gary Hart chuckles during a Q&A session in Moscow, Idaho. The two for U.S. senators were in town to give a lecture later in the day.
On the Dal House Forum we're celebrating Dal's 10th anniversary all year long with various monthly events. For July we're making stamps. I grabbed some of my fav Dal photos and turned them into stamps using BigHugeLabs stamp framer: bighugelabs.com/frame.php
I need one that lets me do portrait oriented photos, because I don't see any option to change the orientation on framer and instead it crops it. That didn't work for some of the photos I wanted to use.
As the massive 4-8-4 backs up to its awaiting train at the Reading Outer Station, just north of Reading, Pennsylvania, a few railfans get their cameras out to capture the moment that Reading 2102 arrives. Among the crowd, railroad photographer and videographer Mark, MPT Productions on YouTube, makes last second adjusts to his camera setup in order to capture 2102s arrival.
These men were making this typical Indian sweet on the streets of Bodhgaya. As I walked some more I also saw the sweet shop selling the very same stuff. :-)
See my other pic of the sweets shop.
Work a little harder at meditation and it comes. You do not feel the body or anything else. When you come out of it after the hour, you have had the most beautiful rest you ever had in your life. That is the only way you ever give rest to your system.

Strobist: One SB600 sitting on the counter pointed straight up at the cabinet, to bounce off the white underside of the cabinet. Triggered by CLS (commander mode on the camera). Also a tiny bit of fill from the camera's on-board flash.

Here at Chiot's Run we LOVE cranberry relish when it comes to Thanksgiving Day meals. I make a big batch each year and we take some to all of our holiday gatherings. It's a quick and easy side dish and it really adds a great flavor to your turkey meal. Here's my favorite recipe: notdabblinginnormal.wordpress.com/2010/11/24/cranberry-ap...

A big-eyed sand flea, or beach hopper or sand hopper, or beach flea or whatever you like to call them...
These are shots of our local blue-eyed, big-eyed beach hoppers. They like damp sand and if you are digging a hole on the beach, you are likely to come across one or two. They also like it under piles of seaweed or driftwood logs. (Anywhere the sun can't dry them or their sand burrows out!!)
These ones are only a little over a centimeter long. When disturbed they frantically hop and scurry like crazed fleas. Their "cross-eyed" blue "googly eyes" help to give them that frantic crazed look.
...oh... and these creatures don't bite!

From a recent photowalk around San Francisco. We wandered by a commercial filming, where they brought the weather from a nice clear day to a downpour faster than the BMW in the commercial can go from 0 to 60.

Verrito wanted to know, how to do that hair-band. But what´s the meaning of "Vlies-Wolle", "Zottelhaarband" some more of this special-felting-vocabulary... in english?
I don´t know, so I made some photos :-)
