The Elizabethtown Industrial Railroad is a 1.5 mile spur branching off the Amtrak main at Conewago, operated using a chop-nose GP9u in CTR colors. There is only so much scenery you can find on a short, straight, and flat stretch of track, so despite staying not far from the area, I've put the railroad on a backburner while waiting for a day with favorable weather conditions. Last weekend's very-late winter snowstorm finally made that happen with temps just below freezing making for a sticky snow-caused winter wonderland. Some of the low-hanging trees fall victim to CTR 1650 as it pulls a tank car of byproduct environmental waste to the NS interchange. The load originated from Crystal Clean, the railroad's only customer seeing service about twice a month.

This little guy was caught in the act. He was leaping out of the water in hopes of landing on the log in front of him. It was awesome to see them swimming and playing in the beautiful afternoon sun. Like any young animals fun and eating are a priority at that ago and really just about any age. lol !!!!!!
Wishing you a great Friday and a very blessed one !!!!!!!!
This beauty is now one of several cormorants visiting our local pond. I've not seen them making a catch yet, but the rainbow trout are clearly an attraction.
This one is highly identifiable, not just by it's white breast , but also it's very nervous disposition.
Normally they are happy to pose but not this one who jumped straight into the water before flying off.

A Canada Goose Gosling makes small ripples in the water after taking a drink. It was amazing to watch these goslings as they went about their daily routine.
Another food flat lay. I was trying to make it a bit fun but it feels a bit stiff to me. Happy Thursday!
Porque hoje é sexta feira e a gente Podeeeeeeee....

As we walked along the beach we noticed the skimmers were getting a little nervous as other people walked nearer to them. They would takeoff and circle around, re-settling a little further up the beach. They did this several times as we observed them, making some great opportunities for in flight shot as they made another pass.
Have a great, blessed and safe weekend!
Thanks so much to everyone who takes the time to view, like or comment on my photos!
