Chris & I had an East County adventure today, we spent a beautiful morning at Summers Past Farms in Flinn Springs, which is just before Alpine on the 8 East. I am uploading a ton of pics because it's such a magical place with beautiful secrets and surprises around each turn of the path.

This picture was taken in the dark classroom. I used a low iso and long exposure to get this "magic" word to show up.

This is my first attempt at shooting fireworks as well as my first attempt at the Magic Kingdom.
I don't know how anyone can get quality shots at Disney, especially where I was located in front of Cinderella's castle. The amount of rudeness here was astounding. Foreigners have no concern about who they stand in front of. A child sitting at your feet or one in a stroller, it makes no difference to them. If there is a square foot to stand in, it's theirs.
Needless to say, I wasn't prepared to take firework shots. With no tripod and no room to maneuver I was limited to hand-held photography. Which is why after taking about 50 shots, only two or three seemed post-quality and they are barely average.
I tried metering by aiming at a bright burst and then snapping at the next one to get a max shutter speed of 15-20. Otherwise all of these would have been 1-3 sec. speeds. Definitely not hand-held quality speeds.
