About the Exhibit:
Though their methods are enshrouded in secrecy, magicians combine the art of performance with a variety of scientific disciplines, including math, physics and psychology, to create their dazzling effects and fascinating illusions.
The Houston Museum of Natural Science's new exhibition, Magic!, examines how science and magic are intertwined, tapping into our universal desire to know "How does that work?" Magic is the perfect subject to inspire people of all ages—especially kids—to learn about the science behind the magic, and the world around them.
Please note: photography is prohibited in the Magic exhibition during normal public hours. If you'd like to take part in our meetups, join the HMNS group for event announcements.
My Magic Mouse arrived in the mail 2 days ago. I was going to write about it straightaway, but decided it best to use the mouse for a few days and let it sink in before reviewing it. So, 2 days later and my thoughts so far? Well, it has replaced my wireless Mighty Mouse. ^^.

In this photograph is my International Alliance Theatrical Stage Employee's glass with our 'Union Bug' emblem.. My local as you can see is now 110 years old. Also my 'Comedy and Tragedy' ring of the same age resides down stage center...

Magic Mountain Site

"This archaeological site is important for its ability to yield chronological sequence data about the Archaic through the Woodland periods. Materials weathering from the uppermost stratigraphic level attracted attention as early as 1925. Chronological information gleaned from this eastern Colorado foothills site serves to enable comparisons with the neighboring plains areas to the east and the mountain zones to west" -- Description from the History Colorado website.
Phalaenopsis orchids (variety Magic Fire)- these are epiphytes (grow on other plants) and as such have limited access to soil water. So despite growing in tropical environments, they exhibit adaptations similar to desert plants (e.g. CAM photosynthesis).
Magic Trackpad made it here today, enjoying using it so far but only time will tell if it gets much use over time. It feels very natural to use it for browsing the web and looking through photos - more serious work will still be carried out by my Magic Mouse :)
