Once I started really stitching things down in preparation for the ring of beasts, I just really started to love the process. This one is so much more involved than the treehouse quilt in terms of construction technique. I want to base quilt the whole thing and wash it to get a feel for the new cloth. If it stays warm enough, I will throw it in the sea for a while.

In Turkey carpet salesmen are unavoidable, and they speak English. I decided to engage them in my absurd effort to shop for the magic flying carpet, and nearly everyone went along for the ride. This clip is the result, a segment from "What the Sultan Saw”, highlighting the history of Turkey & Constantinople/Istanbul, featuring the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires, plus modern Turkey.
This free Intrepid Berkeley Explorer video tour of western and central Turkey stars the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Cappadocia (land of scenic fairy chimneys), Ephesus (& other Roman cities), the Turkish Riviera, Turkish folk dancing and belly dancing, shopping for the magic flying carpet, and much more.
The video can be seen on the web, if you have a high speed internet connection.

Harry Potter world is so fantastic. Part of the fun is using a special wand (you can buy them there, but we already had one that we borrowed from Aunt EA and Uncle Scott) to make magic. Three are lots of places around Hogsmeade that have spells for you to do. If you say the magic words and move your wand in the proper motion (which is actually quite hard to do), things will happen. Here Molly is making some Quidditch balls fly around.

A flurry of snow creates magic in the garden.
Suddenly the world looks different, brighter.
Indeed, we had our first snow!
Thank you very much, M, (*_*)

This is the Magic Mart department store located at 1441 East Main Street within the Lothair section of Hazard, KY. It originally opened in 1968, and had moved across the street in the 1970s. Despite intense competition from the other stores, it still manages to attract a lot of business even to this day. (Thanks to fellow user hazard999 for the update).
