My Magic Curls has straightened hair and looks fabulous ! She still has little curls on the end of her hair but her usual afro style is changed. I love her original hairstyle more but my doll was played with and looks better like this. If I get one in mint condition I would't play with her hair at all ...
She is dressed in adorable vintage looking hand-made dress my friend Linda gave me time ago. I usually redress my repros in that but how awesome it fits superstars too !

"The Alabama Jubilee Hot-Air Balloon Classic is the oldest hot-air balloon race in the mid-South, started in Decatur, Alabama in 1978.
The sport of Hot-Air Ballooning had come to Decatur only a few years prior to the fact that the City of Decatur had decided to purchase a hot-air balloon but now needed pilots to fly it. So the salesman of the balloon cut a deal that he would train three pilots to fly the city's new balloon.
A few years later the sport of ballooning had hit Decatur hard and there were several well known pilots living in the area. Craving competition and the festival atmosphere provided at other ballon rallies 17 balloonists from Alabama,Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, Mississippi and Louisiana got together with a handful of other volunteers and started the Alabama Jubilee
Initially Jubilee also served as a showcase for the new Decatur balloon, one of the first hot air balloons to represent a city, and an event to kick off Alabama's tourism season. These days Jubilee draws about 60 pilots from 20 states for two days of competition during the annual Memorial Day holiday weekend and serves not only as a showcase for the City of Decatur but as a must-attend community event that draws visitors for all over the country.
The continued popularity of the Alabama Jubilee prompted the Alabama Legislature to designate the City of Decatur as the “Ballooning Capital of Alabama.” The Jubilee has also been named a Top 20 Tourism Event in the Southeast for May by the Atlanta-based Southeast Tourism Society."

I was browsing my shots from France last year and found this, frigging hell, I thought its the rare Magic Donkey with Bokeh...I saw the beams of light on his magical head, the ethereal bokeh and general Magicness...Id better share that, I thought!
I came to our local Pancake Manor restaurant only to find it has now closed. However I did find these fantastic pencil pines in the car park.

While Magic 8-Ball did not exist in its current form until 1950, the functional component was invented by Albert C. Carter, who was inspired by a "spirit writing" device used by his mother, Mary, a Cincinnati clairvoyant. When store owner Max Levinson was approached by Carter about stocking the device, he called in his brother-in-law Abe Bookman, a graduate of Ohio Mechanics Institute. In 1944, Carter filed patent for his device, assigning it to Bookman, Levinson, and another partner in what came to be Alabe Crafts, Inc. (Albert & Abe) in 1946. Under the Alabe name, they marketed and sold the device as The Syco-Seer. Carter, who, according to Bookman, was an alcoholic, died sometime before the patent was granted in 1948. Bookman soon made improvements to the Syco-Seer and in 1948, it was encased in an iridescent crystal ball. Though unsuccessful, the revamped product caught the attention of Chicago's Brunswick Billiards. In 1950 they commissioned Alabe Crafts to make a version in the form of a
traditional black & white 8-ball.

Not a very interesting shot, but i struggled with ideas for this challenge, or maybe not so much with the ideas but more how to execute them. This is a magic mouse anyway, I think it's the first of it's kind, no buttons here just touch, that's why it's magic.lol My hubby got it for me together with the new macbook pro with retina display for my birthday last month 8)
