It's time for a Magic Carpet Monday photo.
This is a Lightroom 5 effort. Lots of fiddling with the sliders in devolper module.
We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all of the power we need inside ourselves already.
I know a magic dolphin, swimming above the world, in my dreams it promised me that someday I'll find my girl.

About:
The sky was on fire this morning, so I didn't need candles in the candlesticks :)) The B+W110 10 stop ND filter created a 120 seconds magic feeling this morning :))

The rain stopped.
Through the windows, the magic light came,
It lingered on the wall.
I hoped it could stay with me, for longer time.
The night came, after all, with no surprise.

“Seven Magic Mountains is an artwork of thresholds and crossings, of balanced marvels and excessive colors, of casting and gathering and the contrary air between the desert and the city lights.” — Ugo Rondinone, artist
Seven Magic Mountains is a large-scale, site-specific public artwork by artist Ugo Rondinone, located south of Las Vegas. The installation opened in 2016 on a portion of the Mojave Desert managed by the Bureau of Land Management. Each totem is 30-35 feet high and contains 3-6 locally-sourced limestone boulders.
From a sign at the site:
“The artwork extends Rondinone’s long-running interest in natural phenomena and their reformulation in art. Inspired by naturally occurring Hoodoos and balancing rock formations, the stacks also evoke the art of meditative rock balancing. The works appear poised between monumentality and collapse—seeming to defy gravity in their teetering formations, but equally to depend on it.”
This Magic Carept was trying to not look at the camera and was trying to focus on her work. There were four of us sitting in the front row snapping away.
Photo wise this is uncropped, helps if your only 20 feet away siting in the front row using a 300mm piece of glass. Most of the work was in Photoshop after adjusting the overall exposure, tempature and tint in Camera RAW. In Photoshop I adjusted the lighting levels via layer masks to achieve the current color saturation. Next big task was removing the tiny drops of persperation with the spot healing brush.

This morning the Magic Kingdom was opening early at 8am and it was also just before the time change. With these 2 factors I knew I wanted to get in the park right at open as there would still be some good light from sunrise, or at least I hoped there would weather permitting. On the bus ride over as were were approaching the park there was some absolutely glorious colored light I would have given anything to be in the parks for to photograph. Unfortunately the great colored light did not last long at all but once I was in the park there was still some beautiful golden light breaking through areas of the sky. It was starting to cloud up quickly as you can see in the photo but fortunately there were large gaps to the east for sunrise. I previously shared a shot of the great light that was coming from Tomorrowland but before that I took this photo where that gorgeous light was bouncing off the side of Cinderella Castle. I really love how golden it has lit up Cinderella Castle here allowing it to take on a somewhat different persona.
For this shot I was shooting and handheld and though I had a good light on Cinderella Castle and to a lesser extent on Partners the rest of the scene was somewhat dim. I shot a 3 shot bracket at F6.3, choosing to stop up from F8 to get a slightly faster shutter speed while still shooting at base ISO 64. While this isn't quite as sharp as F8 and slightly less depth of field it's not as big of a deal when shooting ultra wide with the Nikon 14-24 2.8 where the depth of field is huge even at F2.8. Shooting at base ISO provided me the most dynamic range in post that I felt I might need to properly process the shot.

"Call it magic, call it true
I call it magic, when I’m with you
And I just got broken, broken into two
Still I call it magic, when I’m next to you
And I don’t
No, I don’t, it’s true
No, I don’t
Want anybody else but you
No, I don’t
No, I don’t, it’s true
No, I don’t
Want anybody else but you..."

Magic Wig
During the 2018 VC Soiree, we needed a place to hangout after the lounge closed and one evening that was my room. It was super cool having everyone hanging out and talking and listening to music and looking for limes. But what made it most memorable was being gifted "The Magic Wig". I was honoured to say the least. A special night. A special week. A special time.

Listen to the "Magic Bus" by The Who www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl9bvuAV-Ao
My Website: here
This bus had a logo on the front for "The Crusaders" of Normal Illinois. When I Googled them I found out that they were/are a gospel group that toured around singing at churches. I found an album cover titled "The Crusaders of Illinois and the Singing Midget" with a photo of the group. Apparently The Singing Midget is Mr. Lowell Mason, the world’s smallest gospel singer. I have no idea what happened to the group, or how their tour bus ended up abandoned in Michigan. I'll have to do some more research I think.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Okay. A little more digging and I found the website lowellmason.com. Mr. Mason is alive and still performing with his family in Missouri. If you're interested, he has an interesting history on his website. Funny how discovering an old bus like this can help you learn all of this interesting stuff.

Disney Magic is a cruise ship owned and operated by the Disney Cruise Line, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. She has 11 public decks, can accommodate 2,700 passengers in 875 staterooms, and has a crew of approximately 950. The interior of Disney Magic is decorated in the Art Deco style, in contrast to her sister ship, Disney Wonder, which is decorated in the Art Nouveau style.
The ship has twenty bright yellow lifeboats which, along with the black, red, and white colors of the ship itself, match the colors of Mickey Mouse. This change from the standard safety orange took a waiver of international maritime rules. As with other Disney cruise ships, the ship's horn blast plays an excerpt from Disney's famous flagship tune, "When You Wish upon a Star". Disney Magic's Godmother is Patricia Disney, former wife of Walt Disney's nephew, Roy E. Disney.
"Magic Bus, Magic Bus, Magic Bus, Magic Bus, Magic Bus...
I want the Magic Bus, I want the Magic Bus, I want the Magic Bus...
I said, now I've got my Magic Bus (Too much, the Magic Bus)
I said, now I've got my Magic Bus (Too much, the Magic Bus)
I drive my baby every way (Too much, the Magic Bus)
Each time I go a different way (Too much, the Magic Bus)
I want it, i want it, I want it, I want it ...
Every day you'll see the dust (Too much, the Magic Bus)
As I drive my baby in my Magic Bus (Too much, the Magic Bus) "
Santi Santi Santi: The WHO
"One of the most successful rock bands of all time will perform at an International event to celebrate 60 years of Volkswagen vans at the Hanover Exhibition Centre this weekend. The spirit of the untamed 1960s and 70s will be revived amidst five generations of Volkswagen Transporter vans and buses when Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey take to the stage.
'We look forward to being part of a real cult event that is right up our alley, and we intend to rock Hanover,’ says Pete Townshend, the band’s creative mastermind.
'I own a Volkswagen Bus together with my partner Rachel Fuller. And we used Volkswagen Buses as transport in our very early days as a band. It was the cool thing to do,’ the artist reminisced. 'It was a mobile hippy home, cult on wheels, and today, still, the Multivan is a great automobile.’
'Rock legend, The Who, is tailor-made for the Volkswagen van and the special relationship between the two legends has been mirrored in several of their songs. We are thrilled that Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles can be associated with this rock-group,' comments Harald Schomburg, member of the board of management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
Volkswagen Van and Bus owners attending the event can look forward to the evening’s live gig, when The Who performs hits like 'My Generation’, 'Magic Bus’, 'Who are you’, 'Can’t explain’ and 'Going Mobile’."
