Four days before Christmas, two years ago.
No photoshop involved whatsoever - this image comes straight from the camera! (I just wish I had used RAW for this...)
"Magic Bus, Magic Bus, Magic Bus, Magic Bus, Magic Bus...
I want the Magic Bus, I want the Magic Bus, I want the Magic Bus...
I said, now I've got my Magic Bus (Too much, the Magic Bus)
I said, now I've got my Magic Bus (Too much, the Magic Bus)
I drive my baby every way (Too much, the Magic Bus)
Each time I go a different way (Too much, the Magic Bus)
I want it, i want it, I want it, I want it ...
Every day you'll see the dust (Too much, the Magic Bus)
As I drive my baby in my Magic Bus (Too much, the Magic Bus) "
Santi Santi Santi: The WHO
"One of the most successful rock bands of all time will perform at an International event to celebrate 60 years of Volkswagen vans at the Hanover Exhibition Centre this weekend. The spirit of the untamed 1960s and 70s will be revived amidst five generations of Volkswagen Transporter vans and buses when Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey take to the stage.
'We look forward to being part of a real cult event that is right up our alley, and we intend to rock Hanover,’ says Pete Townshend, the band’s creative mastermind.
'I own a Volkswagen Bus together with my partner Rachel Fuller. And we used Volkswagen Buses as transport in our very early days as a band. It was the cool thing to do,’ the artist reminisced. 'It was a mobile hippy home, cult on wheels, and today, still, the Multivan is a great automobile.’
'Rock legend, The Who, is tailor-made for the Volkswagen van and the special relationship between the two legends has been mirrored in several of their songs. We are thrilled that Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles can be associated with this rock-group,' comments Harald Schomburg, member of the board of management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
Volkswagen Van and Bus owners attending the event can look forward to the evening’s live gig, when The Who performs hits like 'My Generation’, 'Magic Bus’, 'Who are you’, 'Can’t explain’ and 'Going Mobile’."

Light on the shore,
the moon in the mirror's gaze,
the sea at peace.
It's been a while since I've done a Magic Carpet Monday.
This photo has been in the queue for months to use. I processed it back in early April. Not sure what it would look like if I processed it today.
The term "Magic Light" is often used to describe light during sunrise and sunset, but I am yet to see a scene with light like I had for this image.

Fantasyland was something I have been looking forward to visiting ever since it opened last Fall. Several trips were planned and cancelled between then and now, hyping it even that much more for me.
I was finally able to visit last week and had a blast seeing all of the new elements that have opened within the past year. It's going to be awesome when everything is 100% completed.
What stuck out to me most, however, were these kingdom walls that separate the areas. Naturally that means I have about 200 shots of them, but this particular take struck me unlike the others.
And so…!

Spectacular area with interesting limestone outcrops and towers, meadow-covered ridges, rugged rocky slopes, canyons, gorges and deep silent valleys with watherfalls. This is one of the most beautiful. Photography was difficult because I had to keep one hand wet ladder and a second to compose shot. I was fascinated by a beautiful green lake bottom.

I'm not sure if you all are aware of Zoe's magical skills - she almost never allows me to take pictures of her in action, because I supposedly distract her. This time she made an exception, because the practice was easy enough that my presence didn't bother her. Zoe also told me that she's curently training for something really complex that she's never tried before... I'm really curious what it is, because her skills are quite advanced and I thought she could do all the tricks already!
~~~
I'm not 100% satisfied with how this photo came out but I'm not sure what's wrong, either, so I just left it this way. Any constructive criticism is welcome lol, I still have a lot to improve!
Edição feita em homenagem a nova música da Selena, ela regravou e ficou perfeita, eu aaaamo "Magic".
Sobre a edição, eu nem tenho o que dizer. Acho que foi a melhor ou pelo menos uma das melhores que já fiz até hoje, principalmente o cabelo (primeira vez na vida que consigo recortar direito). A fonte me agradou também, por ficar simples e tal.
Enfim, espero que gostem como eu gostei, e escutem a música, é ótima. :D
+ ZOOM please.
The forests around the small town of Irrel, in the western part of Germany are stunning in this time of the year. I had the chance to spend a few hours walking around the area and was truly taken by the quiet beauty of this place.
On the technical side, I used again my Sigma 35mm 1.4 wide open to produce this panorama. I just love the feeling of the resulting image even if it's not sharp corner to corner as I usually try with most landscape photographs.
Los bosques que rodean el pequeño pueblo de Irrel, en el oeste de Alemania, son verdaderamente hermosos en esta época del año. El otro día tuve la oportunidad de pasear durante algunas horas por la zona y me impresionó mucho la calma y la belleza del lugar.
Como nota técnica, utilicé aquí de nuevo mi objetivo Sigma 35mm 1.4 completamente abierto para hacer este panorama. Me encanta el ambiente que produce incluso si no es una foto totalmente nítida como intento de costumbre con los paisajes.
Still life photography is one part where you have the hold of everything, from subject to lighting !....I would consider myself wrong if i say it is more easier if you have the freedom to control all these things as you would have ample number of lighting ,compositions,pov and colors possible in still life and table top photography which makes your job even more difficult for choosing the best combinations...
Here i wanted to create a mystical mood, so choose the most magical object in ma home - marble !....and to add to the effect i opened up the lighting with a sunlight diffuser and thus got the sepia turned yellow mood to this picture which i think adds to the effect...
i wanted my window panel to show up in the marble which would make it glow...
Thus here it is - That Magic Moment, In Your Life !...do throw up your comments and critique this venture...
It’s a kind of magic
It’s a kind of magic
A kind of magic
One dream one soul, one prize
One goal, one golden glance of what should be
It’s a kind of magic
One shaft of light that shows the way
No mortal man can win this day
It’s a kind of magic
The bell that rings inside your mind
Is challenging the doors of time
It's a kind of magic
The waiting seems eternity
The day will dawn of sanity
Is this a kind of magic?
It's a kind of magic
There can be only one
This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be done
This flame that burns inside of me
I’m here in secret harmonies
It’s a kind of magic
The bell that rings inside your mind
Is challenging the doors of time
It’s a kind of magic
It’s a kind of magic
This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be, will soon be
Will soon be done
This is a kind of magic
There can be only one
This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be done
Magic – it’s a kind of magic
It’s a kind of magic
Magic, magic, magic, magic
It’s magic
It’s a kind of magic
Only a quick upload today as i have spent most of the day in the sun! :)
These toy soldiers in the hub at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom make great photo subjects. They're much easier to photograph than the (moving) ones in the parade, too!
Check out this article on my blog if you're interested in tips for visiting Walt Disney World at Christmas or seeing tons more Christmas photos!
Magic is believing in yourself,
if you can do that, you can make anything happen.
My mom used to make a chocolate pudding cake when I was little that always seemed so amazing to me. She'd pull it out of the oven and I'd wait to see if it separated into a layer of pudding and cake (it always did) and clap. So when I saw this, I had to try it. It does seem like magic to take normal cake ingredients, treat them a little differently, and have them turn into something so different.
It reminds me of a Dutch Baby filled with custard, so if that sounds good, get on it and make one!
PS: I really loaded this with vanilla. My homemade extract looked a little weak so I scraped some vanilla seeds into the batter. It's very vanilla-y and delicious.
