For Macro Mondays theme; "Handle with care."
I thought I might damage a few fingers trying to get this mouse trap set as it kept snapping shut when ever I tired to let go of the spring loaded wire. So I definitely handled this one with care. HMM to all.
Going to have to get an insect identification book. I have no idea what species it is. All I know is, it was tiny much smaller than a regular fly.

“In my carpet bag are the mushrooms that I gathered in the woods. With two fingers I pick up a piece and look at it. Then I take a bite and wait for my body to react. Now I'm in a better mood. In a short time I'll be dead. Or alive. I'm not always sure that there's any difference.”
― Peter H. Fogtdal, The Tsar's Dwarf
**I found this little mushroom family deep in the boreal forest, along side a trail that led to a bubbling stream. I crawled beneath the spruce trees to capture them before they vanished - as mushrooms have a very short lives. 😢
Bright yellow tulips in the middle of an Alaskan winter - add cheer and the hope of spring to our cabin.
I have captured the very heart of one of the blossoms in this photo.
Come fall, the bulbs will be planted outside, with the hope that they will blossom by next spring.

For macro Mondays theme; "Garden Macro".
In my corner of Alaska the gardens have already been frozen and blanketed in the first dusting of snow - so in this image you see all that remains.
HMM everyone.
A hollyhock & moment of intense pride. I've never ever managed to grow these before - this one is a first standing over 5ft tall.
I got really close to this beetle to capture the glowing blue eyes and the polkadot legs. So, not much cropping was done here. Lucky enough, this "coconut beetle" did not move a muscle. I had to use my left hand to change it's position while my other hand did the clicking. Too bad I did not bring my tripod...::-(
The edge of my autumn throw, that keeps me cozy on a chilly evening in fall.

Diese winzige Zikade (max.3-4mm groß) entdeckte ich in unserem Garten. Glücklich war ich darüber nicht, ist sie doch eine Gefahr für unsere Pflanzen.

Due to a large low pressure weather system in the gulf of Alaska - when I opened the top of my mustard bottle - the contents began oozing out making quite a mess. Since it happens quite often up here - I thought I'd post a macro reality photo.
HMM!
