Posted for Macro Mondays theme; "Iron". HMM!

A two-inch slice of my antique iron. Boy is it heavy.

Das Herz einer Küchenschelle

Schwalbenschwanz fliegt durch Lavendel - so ein schöner Kontrast. Ein echter WOW-Moment!

A swallowtail butterfly flies through lavender - such a beautiful contrast. A real WOW moment!

For Macro Mondays challenge, "Fill the Frame."

This is a tiny portion of a 3" artificial flowerpot.

HMM!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I didn't count them, but somehow I think the title suited 😄

Here is another shot I captured, at my local park here in Oberon NSW.

This is a monochrome version of a Nuphar, as seen from above straight to the center. I like the monochrome version with the use of a coloured filtre to emphasize the center of the bloom contrasted to the leafves. This image was taken at the ÖBG, Ökologisch-Botanischer Garten der Universität Bayreuth (Ecological-Botanical Garden of the University of Bayreuth)..

For Macro Mondays theme; "Handle with care."

I thought I might damage a few fingers trying to get this mouse trap set as it kept snapping shut when ever I tired to let go of the spring loaded wire. So I definitely handled this one with care. HMM to all.

My day has been so busy - that I missed posting this "Tip" photo for the "Looking close on Friday" group.

Since I took the time to capture the "tips" of a pinecone - I thought I'd post it for a couple of other macro groups.

Wishing everyone a happy weekend.

This tiny refrigerator magnet has an amazing pattern of scales - plus it has the rubbery feel of a real fish skin. It is older than the hills - but I still treasure it.

HMM everyone!

In our front yard we have 5 rose bushes and they all have heaps of buds on them, here is the first open rose.

. . . involves preparing three square meals a day, even though I'd rather be behind my camera. As I was preparing BLT sandwiches for lunch today - the Macro Mondays theme "My Daily Routine" popped into my head, so I stopped everything to take a few shots.

HMM everyone.

I wonder who the first brave soul to break open a pistachio shell, look at the wrinkled green nut inside, and then dared to eat it. I'm glad they did, as it is one of my favorite flavors in ice cream, pudding, or just as a snack.

A tiny piece of black spruce needles for Macro Mondays theme; "Spikey". The longest stem of needles measures one inch. I placed it on a mini calendar so that I might wish all of my Flicker friends a very Happy Thanksgiving, as well as HMM.

The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Posted for Macro Mondays theme, "Leaf".

This little sprig measuring 2 inches wide by 3 inches long, contains tiny leaves that measure anywhere from 1/8th inch to 1/2 inch at the largest. The colors are true.

HMM!

I had a visit today too, we stared at each other for quite a while.

I think I got myself a new friend, at least it's a silent one 😄

Its the Bee's Knee's allright. This little fellow is searching for the best stuff he can find. And during this draught, its harder work than ussual for sure. Most plants are having difficulty keeping up with the weather. Some flowers are so dry allready, they feel like they've bin turned into paperflowers. Its pretty bizar really...

I was playing around with reflective macro photography several years ago, and created my "Treasured Island", with a tiny stone bracelet against a black background. It took some creative lighting to achieve the results shown here - but I have learned down through the years, that lighting can either make, or break, a photo.

To start this new month - we awoke to 3 degrees below zero this morning, and saw that Jack Frost had been busy overnight, painting everything with his frosty brush. In this photo you see a few thin strands of very tiny weeds, that he transformed into a thing of beauty. Since single digit temperatures will be the norm for awhile - I expect that the hoar frost will continue to grow and turn our landscape into a true winter wonderland.

Wishing everyone a delightful November, as we start off the Holiday Season.

Macro f/22.0

Shepton, TX # 406

En voulant tester l'EOS R je me suis dit quoi de mieux que de retourner aux bases avec une petite photo Macro...

J'ai presque eu l’impression de redécouvrir mon objectif !
