For Macro Mondays theme; "plastic".
I was going to title this "Life is just a bowl of cherries" - but since we are all going through a pandemic at this time - it just didn't seem appropriate.
Stay safe and healthy everyone, and a big HMM to all.
Danaus chrysippus, also known as the plain tiger, African queen, or African monarch, is a medium-sized butterfly widespread in Asia, Australia and Africa.
Jewelry can identify you
Or not
It depends on the thought behind
Sometimes you just fancy them and have no clue if they actually have a meaning, hidden or not
For some reason human beings love to wear hearts
Cherishing the thought of its meaning, mayby even lacking what it's meaning
Lacking not to receive it
Lacking having someone to give it to
Or maybe you just want to symbolize who you are or who you want to be
I found this heart in my office drawer some years ago and thought it was my daughters, I thought it was fake stuff
I liked it and she wasn't around at the time so I put it around my neck to remember giving it to her when she came home and I loved wearing it
Months later I found that it was white gold and diamonds for real and that it was mine, lol - no use giving me expensive jewelry obviously
The Diamond, in its rarity and beauty, is a symbol of purity and innocence, of love and fidelity, and embraces strength of character, ethics, and faithfulness to oneself and others.
It is a love-bearing crystal, no wonder they belong in the shape of a heart.
Pearls do get tired of being worn all the time, so I had some years not wearing my biwa pearl, but last year I needed the energy it could give me. Pearls symbolize wisdom acquired through experience and offer protection and I needed this in 2018.
I just had to wear them both at the time.
They symbolize me and my journey and although I'm safe and sound now they are now around my neck again, probably for years - I don't change my jewelry so often 😁
Happy Macro Mondays you all!

The tropics-loving showy zephyrlily grow from hardy bulbs that have naturalized in many parts of the Western Hemisphere. One odd trait Rain lilies share is that their star-shaped flowers come into bloom after it rains, hence the common name. With their array of flower colors, sweet fragrance, and synchronous blooming, these plants have become a popular option among gardeners and breeders.
I managed to sneak my camera lens into the center of an artificial autumn bouquet, and found berries smaller than a 1/4 of an inch. With the right lighting, it looked like I was surrounded by a magical Lilliputian world.
I saw this gorgeous flower just outside of our local church, as I was making my way down to the local store, So I stopped and took a photo of it.
For Macro Mondays theme; "Edge".
As I sat preparing a big bag of peppers for the freezer - the Macro Mondays theme crossed my mind just as I removed the core from the top of a red pepper. The frilly "edge" caught my attention, and I wondered what it would look like as a macro. The cut that you see is less than two inches wide.
HMM to everyone!
*A big thank you to all of you who have commented and faved. I truly appreciate it.

The story behind the image:
Yesterday I attempted to continue the field test of the new L macro lens, walking at a nearby lakeside and the surrounding forest. Found this interesting insect sitting on a reed leaf and managed to make this shot hand held with a flash burst.
A tiny treble hook can spell danger for fish and humans. I watched as a small child of about three stood on a crowded bank full of fishermen, as they cast their hooks looking for salmon. Suddenly the child screamed as a hook had imbedded itself into the eyebrow of the child. The hook was taped into place, and the child whisked off to the hospital for the removal of the hook. I would say that fishing gear can be a huge "danger."
HMM!
