E. When the bug is big, I marvel at how well this Telephoto lens works. It cannot replace a true Macro lens, but with a little editing, the result is very good.

Do I *need* more dice? Certainly not. Do I *want* more dice? Not when asked that way. Do I all-too-often acquire a particular interesting die? You bet!
Taken for Macro Mondays "Guilty Pleasure"
.... just a pretty ladybird from Autumn last year!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Dare I say it but the weather might be nice YAY :-)))))
Black ant tending aphids on a bush oak leaf. I've only seen these odd looking aphids on bush oaks sometimes covering the acorn cups. Focus stacked using zerene
So this round 11 for GetPushed I was paired with Elodie. She made explore with her push, check it out!
She gave me this:
"I didn't see any macro in your stream. Take one! You are free to choose the subject and photoshop (or any other post processing) should be used as minimally as possible. (Just crops, colour balance, sharpening etc). "
So I checked the internet what to do if you don't have a macro lens: reverse the nifty-fifty and hand-hold it against the body. Today I made a round throught the garden and came up with some reasonably interesting stuff. See the other two here.
This is my submission for GetPushed:
50mm 1.8 reversed, handheld against body
1/200 s
f/1.8
ISO 125
Cropped slightly for composition
Levels to spread the histogram
Noise Ninja (what are those vertical bands I see, tips welcome).
Sharpened a bit
Man is it difficult to focus well with the camera handheld, the lens handheld and the little bugger on a flower in a breeze!
