This is a macro of of the Parrot Tulips I brought home for a family dinner soiree I'm having tonight. (These are different ones than the other ones I had) I thought my Mother would enjoy seeing these beautiful multi-coloured Parrot Tulips on the dinner table ;)
I should also say that there is no enhancement of this photo the colours are true. I took this photo yesterday on my dining room table with the sunshine streaming through the window............... ;)
I hope everyone has an enjoyable Sunday!!

Monochromatic Month is now over! To all of you who chose to spend a portion of your April with me, thank you so much. I know it wasn't easy to set aside the vibrant colors of Spring, especially when Mother Nature was putting on her most colorful best throughout the month. But you all willingly accepted the challenge to convey the same warmth, expressiveness and appeal using only monochromatic tonesand not only did you succeed, but in the process you produced some of the most timeless, artistic and dramatic shots on Flickr. Congrats and thank you! :)

Manny the Praying Mantis... The majority of mantises are ambush predators. They camouflage themselves and stand perfectly still. Then they just wait for their prey to stray too near, but most mantises will chase their prey if they can. When a target does get close enough, the mantis then lashes out at remarkable speed in fractions of the time it takes people to blink.

Happy Blue Monday! (#1 of 2) That whooshing sound is all I can hear at the moment! But for some bizarre reason, I tend to be one of those people who prefer to wait until time is tight before I get truly motivated. I think it takes that added pressure of time constraint to get my creative juices flowing at full speed. Or I'm just masochistic.
