finally got around to shoot the gorgeous hydrangeas by the pool. love the colors- on one bush there are both pink blooms , blue blooms and mixes and blends of purple. It is an "endless summer" variety and love them !

many thanks for your comments- I try to keep up - but with 3 kids some days nothing goes as expected! ;o)

Fact or fiction...Some butterflies have evolved symbiotic and parasitic relationships with social insects such as ants. Some species are pests because in their larval stages they can damage domestic crops or trees; however, some species are agents of pollination of some plants, and caterpillars of a few butterflies (e.g., Harvesters) eat harmful insects.

Our Beloved Mother, Lydia Empleo y Gabito, 69.. expired this afternoon... yesterday she was diagnosed with Leukemia, and today she has returned to her Creator.

She was a strong and hardworking mother, raising 6 kids alone.. we lost our father when I was barely 2 years old..

But she was also the most kindhearted woman I ever met.. never stopped caring for all he people around her.. be it a friend, a relative.. a co-worker or a complete stranger.

I can list down all the merits this woman had.. but most of all, she was our beloved Mother.

My only regret is that.. I never get the chance to talk to her and say how much I love her even for the last time... I'm still with flu so I wasn't able to visit her in the hospital.. only this afternoon when she's critical that I was able to come.. but she's already slipping away..

I just hope that she knew that I love her so much!!!

Please include her to your prayers...

Thank you.. and GodBless!!!

Took this at Crathes Castle just east of Banchory Scotland. We got to the castle early and spent some time in the beautiful and impressive gardens. I haven't the slightest idea what kind of flower this is, but I really like it!

It's a gaillardia (thanks Taty!) common name is blanketflower
