As I mentioned in one of my previous shots, I bought a reverse ring for mounting my Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 as a magnifying glass.
That's the first picture I took outside.
I chose f/8.
It's an European garden spider (Gartenkreuzspinne; Araneus diadematus), magnification ratio was about 2.5:1.
I hope you like it :)
Next step will be jumping spiders and stacking :D

This one is done with the flash guns on a red plastic background. The flash guns are set at the corners of the pan in front of the drop in order to illuminate the drop and the red background. I used water with a few drops of milk.
Took a stroll in the yard morning for a few contrasty monochrome images.
Fujifilm X-Pro3 ACROS simulation. SOOC
This one has blue food colouring in the water. I used a blue gel on the flash behind the drop and a red and yellow gel on the flash underneath the splash which gives it the colour effects.
Have a great weekend.

Good morning, everyone :)
This is the last photo from my "smoking matchsticks"-series!
I like the shape of the smoke so I thought I have to share it with you :)
Have a nice weekend <3

I decided to take a photo of an igniting matchstick. 35 matchsticks had to "die" until I got this shape of the smoke :D
Yes, the smoke is real, no manipulation was done to it.
I hope you like it.

The last photo of a droplet on a gerbera :)
I have a cold and I'm drinking tea all day.
Hope you all are alright and have a nice day!

A drop of orange-dyed milk resting on the water and almost touching it's own reflection. The left side of the drop is yellow because of the light from the flash which doesn't shine through the drop because of the density of the milk.

You take The Time Machine and Drip Kit, two large drops of water, two Speedlite flashes with two coloured gels on each, a lot of tweaking the settings, a lot of shots, a bit of clean-up, lightening and vibrance and end up with this. A bit of guar gum, rinse aid and red food dye in the water.
Sorry, I don't add images to groups that have large or moving icons in the comments.
A crab's exoskeleton is a tough, external skeleton made primarily of chitin and calcium carbonate. It provides protection for the crab's soft internal tissues and organs. The exoskeleton is not a static shell; crabs must molt (shed their old exoskeleton) to grow.

Reminded me of a little sea creature coming up from the depths just ready for a fight. This is from one of my collages but I thought it deserved a spot on it's own.
My setup for this one.

Similar to the previous one but with yellow food dye in the milk.
These are in-camera shots. The only editing I've done is to lighten, sharpen, resize and clean-up. These drops are very tall. The lens is about 75 cm. away from the drop. Usually it's much closer.
