De wesp was te sterk voor dit spinnetje, hij kwam los en liet een verruineerd web achter.

The wasp was to strong for this little spider, he got away leaving the web ruined.

Taken in my garden whilst sitting in the sun. ☀️

This Song really has nothing to do with spiders but I like it anyway.

my little friend is getting big. i love to catch him in action. hes so very fast, putting up or taking down his huge web.

Took this one about a year ago. First time I processed this shot and posted it.

Had this Bold Jumper as a pet for a couple weeks before returning it to the wild. Some experimenting on a mirror here. Even on black they still look friendly..haahaa

I found that Crab Spider on a Sword Lily ,in my garden.

I snapped his portrait yesterday.

If you look closely to the picture, you will see me reflecting in her beautiful eyes. Very good fly hunter, she was a good friend of mine during a week in Greece, nice little jumper and fly-eater.

I've never really gotten a good macro shot of an insect before, I think this is the first one!

These little guys show up occasionally and make a home for themselves in the yard for a week or so. I thought this would be interesting for the Macro Monday theme "Shell" because they have a hard shell around their bodies and the horns/spikes look pretty cool. The seashells, peanut shells, pistachio shells, and egg shells I shot came out pretty boring so I got a little adventurous. Fortunately he/she didn't jump on me as I was trying to get the focus.

There's an amazing variety of spiders in the Honge (Pongamia) tree in front of our house. I found three of this kind last weekend.

This one's pedipalps (leg like appendages in the front) are very prominent.

Lighting: Vivitar 285 through plastic bowl held for me by a very impatient assistant.

Light was fading and I had some difficulty in focusing manually. I envy these creatures, another pair of hands would have made macro photography with lights so much easier.

Identification: I have seen pictures of similar spiders labelled as Lynx spiders. It's a hunting spider that doesn't weave webs to capture prey. Usually hides under leaves or flowers.
