A little Argyrodes, on a web across the trail in the woods...

One of the more interesting spiders in our garden...camouflaged by their "trashline"...

I have been going through some of the archived shots from this summer and felt like sharing this shot of a spider. I am not sure what kind of spider it is so if anyone knows please feel free to share.

Trying out my "new" macro lens, it's a 1980's "Elicar V-HQ Macro MC 90mm f/2.5 1-1" with an FD mount and a glass free, macro only, converter to EOS. Whilst not up there with the legendary "Vivitar Series 1 90mm f/2.5" it does seem to produce some pretty sharp images - and it only cost me £26 on eBay, the Vivitar will probably fetch close to £200! I've also invested in a Ring Flash and this is the first photo I've taken with this combination, it's hand-held at night of one of those small-ish spiders that spin webs everywhere at this time of year, no cropping of image above, though I've added one below.

A catch from my garden4

At work spinning the web. Every now and then I catch a spider doing this - fascinating to watch, all those eight legs doing their thing together,,,

May your legs and eyes be plentiful and your webs filled with small dead things.

These things are longer than I can remember when they go full camo and say "Look at me "Im a stick!!" You just about need to do a panoramic stitch to fit in those glorious long legs.

Hand held stack , in the field. Wild spider. Free. Will not be voting yes in the referendum.

Have a nice day/night

It's really a challenge to shoot this little guy. He was hiding in between the leaves and moving around, and when I had a good chance to shoot him, there came the wind. Then he started to run away and jumping from leaf to leaf and at one point, turn around and look at me. And that was when I got this shot. Lucky me.

You probably will be seeing more macros from me. :)

Another shot of the spider web structures between the glass and aluminium frame of my greenhouse door. Focus stacked using zerene. Possibly made by a running crab spider

Little guy the wife found in the garage...

Created in Bing edited in Topaz.

What a nice surprise this morning, thank you for choosing my little spider for the cover of Art Week Gallery.

Arachtober continues!

This is the same crab spider I've posted before but he or she was very cooperative and photogenic and I may yet post a few more.

I like to think that this pose is very dynamic, perhaps a martial arts stance.
