On Tuesday afternoon I drove all the way to Nymans (a National Trust garden) intending to take some macro shots of the lovely flowers there. However, when I pointed my camera at the first flower a flashing message popped up saying 'NO CARD'. Aaargh!!! I normally check I have everything for my camera before I leave home, but just this once I didn't. Anyway, I came home and took a few photos of a plant I'd just bought at the local garden centre instead. At least I didn't waste my 'macro mood' completely. :)
today william took his fourth spill since we started dating. twice fully in my view he fell of his own volition and bounced right back up. damn funny. i laughed heartily while i helped him up. twice a car caught his bars and threw him onto pavement. today's was the latter, and an oncoming cab stopped with maybe two feet until collision with a supine william.
i need to get the boy a helmet....

Even though the weather was rain and fog mix, I decided to grab a few shots at lunch time and on the way home from the office. Lighting was a challenge, but that's why I'm taking some seminars. Right now I'm in a macro mood, so please give me your honest opinions to help me improve.
I'm still in a macro mood. Here is a photo taken in the garden of my parent's house a few years ago.

Je suis toujours dans un esprit macro. J'ai déniché pour vous cette sorte de guepe, qui n'en est pas une. C'est une syrphidae qui explorait des fleurs haut-saonoises.

Designed and developed by Urbain DRC & INVIVIA, this interactive, inflatable art installation was displayed throughout the summer in Minneapolis. The cloud-like inflatable concept hovers above ground and turns real-time information into an abstract light display.
We have some irises growing in our backyard. Every time I see them I'm reminded of the Iris flower data set used as an example in Machine Learning.
