It's a gloomy morning today. Rain seems to be taking over our lives.. Here is some color to cheer us up ;D

Robber fly profile

The flash is a bit too harsh, and the leg is cut off, but i like the beetle's textures.

Shieldbug eggs, i think.

A test shot with Rodagon 28mm.

Natural light, 31 images stacked.

A bit noisy work. The bee was not so sleepy :) After ruining lots of stack sets i had to use narrow aperture and high ISO to complete the shot as soon as possible.

The sun has finally came out today and though it's quite windy I've managed to get a few macros shot outside. And since the school year is starting tomorrow who knows what my days will look and what I'll be able to do?! So here they are.. Hope you will enjoy these..

Stephane L. Venne (cc) 2012

I was photographing the coneflowers when I heard this fella buzzing around. They sure are busy and don't rest at all. They get what they need and they're off right away to the next flower.

Atlas Moth (Attacus atlas) taken at the Natural History Museum, London in July 2015

I know just how he feels !

Cricket was a little worse for wear.

Have a great day

Spotted today in Spain. Clinging to the side of a tablecloth on the patio. Top to bottom measures just over 1cm. Hand-held grab shot in macro-mode. I'm guessing it is some type of moth judging by the feathered edges on the lower wing(?) Anyone?

Green fly - Was not getting any bug to photograph on this particular day and was unhappy... Then saw this little creature... on the leaf. Above my head's height. Stretched my tripod and kept elbow on it and tried to shoot.. Leaf was moving due to slight wind... but got a manageable shot.. The bug looked too good through the lens :-) Hope you enjoyed the shot... Kenko extension tubes + 100mm macro lens .
