I think this is a harlequin ladybird?

ID would be welcome if anyone has it.

Using a new macro adapter for the first time got a few photos out of the hundreds taken!

Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand

A bee on some thistle outside our house.

Can someone identify this insect?

1 to 1 with the female banded demoiselle.

A few more shots using my D5100 and Nikkor 105 micro. Thinking i might upgrade my D5100 soon to the D5300 as light weight back up to my D7100. Still my old D5100 isnt bad :-)

This mosquito after drinking pint of my blood, sat on the TV screen making herself at home, slowly excreting excess water from her meal...

ce matin une éclosion ! dans mon jardin.

une vingtaine de petites mantes religieuses.

A little visitor on my raspberry bushes..

Identified as Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata.

The hardest aspect of shooting mating ladybugs is not laughing when the male wiggles his backside -gonna have to work out the lighting so I can film it...

Tech Specs: Canon 70D (F16, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (over 2x) + a diffused MT-24EX. This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held.

Technique: I'm holding on to the leaf they are on with my left hand, and resting the lens on that same hand to keep everything steady. Then I went looking for an angle that would let me get as much in focus as possible -both of their leading eyes have to be in focus.
