I was after the pink flowers, however found the insects to be an interesting distraction!
Upon further review, I feel that the exposure is a bit dark on my last macro capture, so I have attempted to brighten this one up a bit...
Its hard to choose but this has to be one of my favorites if not my favorite by far. The mean viper like look in this rattlesnakes eyes just make you feel like it could strike at any moment. I touched it up by making it more bold to give it more power and more of that kick to make people excited about the imaged and I also shaded it to focus around the face and eyes because the expression on its face is just perfect for what I was going for.

A local newspaper reported that a cherry has begun to bloom in a park where is located within 30 minutes drive from my house. I went there and took this photo by my new E-P1 with macro capture function and manual focusing. It is still under exposure even though I had plus 0.7EV of aperture bias, because it was cloudy sky like coming of rain.
Another photo of unseasonable cherry blossoms, part-2 will be uploaded soon.
However, cherry blossom in autumn is not so brightness and gorgeousness, spring is the best for cherry blossoms that is my honest impression.
Ants are so small, even in a macro capture.

The XS1 takes nice macro. At this zoom distance (60mm), the can only do f/5.0+. At this aperture setting, the entire flower is nice and sharp. I do experience zoom creep when I point the lens down at the flower. I have to remember to hold the lens tight. Overall, you will love the macros capture by this bridge camera.
