I did a comparison of Nikon vs Sigma 105mm macro lens. Bought both to find out which I liked best. Turns out both are great lens and both do what I wanted them to but the Sigma won me over. the price was not the deal breaker but what they had to offer was. The Sigma has a lens setting for Full-0.45mm or ,312-0.45. This all makes a difference on how close or far you want to use the lens. The Nikon only had full or 0.45. The Nikon had so much glass in it it was heavier and I had trouble getting a clear focus due to the darker glass also. I also thought the Sigma had a faster AF although in macro I do not use Auto focus too much. Both have optical stabilization but that means nothing for Macro shots either. Yes the Sigma was cheaper and for the price more to offer. As you can see from these images I get great macro captures out of it. And that is what I wanted. Previous 105mm Macro shots were taken with the Nikon.

Here is my architecture shot that was a rather fun one I thought. I did add some color and sharpness but the biggest change that I think added the most was removing the net and the tarp from the stone structure so it was all focused on the structure rather then then the whole picture. I always like to have a focus point or at least a focus subject per say in my images so removing unnecessary parts is sometimes better thing to do if you wanna add more focus to a photo overall.

Not sure what this is really, it is not as big as it looks, this is a true micro/macro capture, it is a tiny little guy.

These days, it is easy to make macro movie clips with a latest DSLR or a digital HD camcoder. However I have neither latest DSLR nor digital HD camcoder. So I attach a reversed single lens to an old camcoder . This is really a simple way to make an old movie camcoder which has no macro fucntion to a macro capture available one.

Some vignetting are caused from the reversed lens aperture. I could get rid of it by zooming camcoder's lens, but it makes too shallow of focus range to make a difficulty to control.

A series of my macro captures today. All shot taken with Nikkor 35mm 1.8G DX and Raynox DCR250 macro adapter lens.

I did not want to change to much of this photo but I did add color and sharpness to add more fun and a childish tone to the image to help bring out more emotions out of the viewers of the image.
