11/4/2013: I love how this shot turned out. This is another Harinezumi macro capture in vivid 2. This succulent is turning a red-orange color from green and it's rooting along the stems. What I really enjoy about this shot is the clear definition of the roots and slightly off kilter color of the succulent in the shadow. Also, the colors are wonderfully vibrant.

One of fifty-one new designs I captured from inside one of my real kaleidoscope. This particular scope uses light from the side which reflects through colored glass into pieces of glass and jewels floating in oil. It also has a black bottom and black sides so the light actually illuminates the inside items like neon. You can see in this one how the light source shows more of which side it was coming in.

Macro capture of a Royal Gala apple. When you get in close all those textures that you don't normally see become evident.

This is amazingly bright but I cannot figure out what caused the dark, leaf-like image in the center. There must be a piece of glass in the oil that is darker and less see-through than the others and it landed at the edge of the mirror to create it. Even with the blurriness, I was able to create some nice images from it.

(+1 in comments) 98 of 365 - Super macro captures - Saw these on the north side of a shaded small rock. These were the only lichens I noticed during either of the 5 mile (8 km) hikes through the high desert.

This came from taking the earthy-toned image from earlier and changing the surface, but without moving the scope so much as to completely change the design.

I am testing my new x4 close-up filter over my 90mm 2.8f lens on this tiny less than 1cm diameter flower. This is not the big dandelion that can be commonly seen.

With this macro capture, I wish all my Flickr Friends a very good weekend!
