Springtime in Gorssel, Gelderland The Netherlands

A colorful, sensual flower; an impression; light from the back, some alignment, and my trusty Vivitar 105mm Series 1 Macro. Captured out in Richmond, California. Lit by the powerful California sun.

For the livingroom, ā€œParrot Tulipsā€

It's the middle of the summer and we're finally seeing quite a lot of Monarch butterflies floating through the air and gracing our gardens.

I found this beauty at the lakeshore, resting on a dried Purple Goat's Beard blossom that has already seeded out.

Once again, a 'macro' captured with my telephoto lens.

Enlarge for a more immersive view.

Enjoy the weekend, everyone!

No Group Awards/Banners, thanks

Didn't get to the tulips as much as had hoped this year, but did manage once and came away with this macro capture.

Second trial for the theme of today.

Another ultrawide macro capture, in which I tried to put some natural elements (the cow, the shell, the sky), but in a "studio setup"! šŸ˜…

Have a great MM, dear Flickr friends! šŸ˜‰

Spring in our garden with the ā€œCamellia Japonicaā€

Just as the sun reaches over the moutain, these buds start to open up and have the most joyous flower until night time again.

A macro capture of its beginnings in first comment:

Taken in East Haddam, CT at 400mm, ISO 500, 1/250 @ f/13.

The long focal length seems to work well for this type of macro capture.

Macro capture of a lovely 'Borage'.. 'Borago officinalis'.. .. with a little twist.. of 'Oli-Ort'.

A macro capture, taken on the surface of a small pond. The water was completely frozen with a lot of gas bubble inclusions which, I suppose, came up from decomposing organic material on the ground.

Macro Mondays 25/09/17 theme Zodiac.Macro capture of the scales on my Yellow Tailed Damsel Fish. This was taken through the glass when she decided to come out from behind the rocks in the tank.It took a few takes to get an OK shot as the camera kept locking on to the glass and she kept on going back behind the rocks when the camera or my hand moved.

My first macro capture of the season.

It's so much fun to play with macro captures that come out painterly or abstract :)

Amazing moment of life. You can see so much if you just open your eyes & look around you.
