Kidney BEANS & small white BEANS

Soon to be soaked as I will make some sort of soup with all the fresh veggies that are around us right now.

"Drips,drops and splashes"

I chose the spicy brown mustard for this week's theme. Started this project late in the evening and then had to wait for the mustard to get some chill to it in the freezer so it would hold its shape a bit. Good time for some Black Grape and a cold brew.

Happy Macro Monday!

I had thought of naming this 'Mother and Daughter' but they are both the smallest blooms in the pot. The larger one is 3/4" and the smaller 1/4". So it's more like big and little sister.

This was taken using my crop sensor 7D in order to get even closer than my full frame 6D, and 3 images were also stacked to improve the focus.

Rhubarb leaf. Poisonous to man and dogs but not apparently to snails.

Have a great Monday folks.

A wingspan of 12-20 mm makes this the smallest butterfly in North America and one of the very smallest in the world. Shown here on one of its hostplants (atriplex semibaccata) at the Don Edwards NWR at Alviso California.

I have a sharper image of a butterfly of this species at www.flickr.com/photos/25673579@N04/28730652937/in/datepos... but yesterday I could not find one in ideal light, and the only one I found more than 8" [20 cm] off the ground flew off when I approached.

practicing taking macro shots with my cellphone in pro mode! Decent detail but I need to get a mini-tripod to steady the shot better.

Much as I hate using slug pellets I dislike the fact that they eat young plants more. There is also tetanus in the soil bit the macro didn't stretch to capturing more than the soil!

Thanks for all the looks faves and comments. HMM all!

Another challenge for macro Monday's theme glass and whilst on a flight home from the Canary islands my thoughts wandered to the many possibilities of what i could create.

As I gazed out of the window ascending to cruising altitude of about 35000 feet something caught my eye! That tiny hole in the window called the bleed hole there to protect us from the difference in air pressure and what a wonderful job it does in keeping us safe.

Macro Mondays: Candy...somehow no candy in the house, though we always have gum.

This is a slide lock for a trombone. The lock rotates and engages with a wedge shaped lug on the outer tube of the slide. Once engaged the outer tube of the slide is held firmly in place.
