Very busy day today at the office. I ventured out for lunch with my camera, 1 light stand and 1 umbrella. I grabbed a quick bite and then approached a small family in the park who was taking pictures with their phone of their toddler. I asked to do a family portrait for my project but they said no. Oh well, back to work it was. I just took a quick break to snap a shot because I want to go home tonight and veg and spend time with the family and not shooting and editing a photo. So goes the life of a 365 project. Hope everyone had a good day.

Strobist Info: One Canon 430EXII speedlite, camera left, into reflective umbrella about 6 feet high and 5 feet away.

Some of these Mac are in end of life, but working like new.
And they were dreams for many, reality for others.
Abandoned School - Powhatan VA
Got to meet up with 2 flickr pals for a great day of urban exploration. Had a great trip and can't wait to see all the cool shots.
Also my MacBook Pro unfortunately died - Nvidia Graphics Issue (it was 3 months too late for Apple to cover the cost, figures) - and instead of putting the money back into that computer I decided to upgrade and get a MacPro 3ghz Quad Core - it was suprisingly affordable on ebay. Gotta get used to it and work out a few issues but this thing is a beast.

Strobst: 5 lights, 3 580EX through umbrellas, camera right, camera left, and almost lens axis above. There are also two Vivtar 285's unmodified facing the back of each boy. What do you think?
This is the first picture I've worked on with my new MacPro. On that computer this looked very different. On this PC the color is way off. Apparently I need to color calibrate my MacPro.

Day 2 of our short holiday in Wales
It's been a couple of years since my last posting so I thought I would share my home office updates. Retired my G5 Tower and replaced it with a MacPro which, for now, mostly runs Windows 7 via Bootcamp. An Acer 22" LED monitor is held in a portrait position with the help of a 3M monitor arm. The 24" iMac still serves as the center of my setup as I slowly migrate to the Mac Pro. May consider replacing the iMac with a 30" monitor when that project is complete.
I need a bigger desk. I have changed up my workspace since my iMac has become a Front Row station in my room...this will probably change once i get a MacPro
