As far as how it operates, it has a warm up time of about 2 minutes, and doesn’t need any cool down time. It comes with good sized cones of candy, you can make some decent sized cones of cotton candy with it(compared to other toy units). The machine can also run for a long time without overheating.
We’re starting to create a time machine for our next art project at ‘Pataphysical Studios. Guests will be invited to step into our magic portal and travel to different time periods, which we will recreate as short scenes, through a variety of audio, video, maker art and mixed media. We’re now brainstorming and prototyping ideas for this interactive art project, which we plan to build collectively in coming years. La Machine on the Saturday. The morning turned out to be a little disappointing. A few thousand people turned out to hear some music. La Princesse didn’t do anything but sit there in the fake snow. Nice to look at but a shame for those people. Later she did wake up and went for a walk around town. I originally planned to be in the crowd but I came out the station on Water St and the crowd was insane. I didn’t like the idea of battling through to get a few quick photos so I was able to get on top of the town hall. From there the view of the crowd was simply insane.
Man Vs. Machine
This project was to portray the link between the human body and machinery. I took a sample of my macro photography and projected onto my model, I love how the shapes warp to the form of the body.

Tree rubble was hauled out of the neighborhood hit by the tornado and stacked in the old Scherer Brothers Lumber Yard. Then front loaders and hydraulic cranes deposited the logs and rubble into a mulcher that would mulch the wood and stack it in a pile at the other end of the machine. The guy standing in the foreground was watching for non-wood waste that was mostly plastic. When he spotted a piece he would catch the eye of the machine operator and he would pull the plastic from the soon to be shredded wood.

The wonderful Jenny Tran posing on this exercise machine. I love that there are so many public spaces to do stretching and exercises on. I guess that's probably why people seem to be in decent(ish) shape. I've seen an incredibly low amount of overweight people here. Obviously this isn't the sole reason but it might contribute to the perception that exercise is okay to do and is acceptable to be in public and doing.
