After completion of the restoration of the historic mat' 36 set 252, the Railway Museum organised the exhibition 'Under High Voltage'. This focused on the electrification of the railways in the Netherlands. Set 252 was open to the public. Because we were there right after the opening, I was able to extensively photograph the set and the other trains. In the meantime, my daughter and her friends enjoyed themselves in the museum.
OK, so Nephew has this computer game called "Crazy Machines". These gears are part of the game; you use them and other building components to make machines to accomplish little tasks. He loves the game, and wanted me to make a cake for his birthday party with his friends that looked JUST like these gears.
So this photo was my model for the gear cake.

This is my second time-machine. In 1965 I started to take photography seriously. My teacher had a Yashica 635, wìth that Sun Aux, very impressive! Today I even had 1965 Plus-X prof in it. You can see the Sun-vignetting and the film-problems but what the heck!
BTW the developer was good old seventies Реактив, muddy like the Фиксаж, but I did use it without hesitation! See next pic for all that stuff.

View of one of the machines that was used to dig the Channel Tunnel. It's part of a museum/visitor centre near the tunnel mouth in Kent.
This collection of buildings was the home of All Saints Brewery until the 1920's. The premises were then split up and had a number of uses over the years: knitware factories, engineering works, sports wholesalers, arts and crafts, storage, and even a beauty parlor. Some years ago a lot of demolition work took place, leaving these buildings standing alone. They quickly caught our attention and we were soon inside exploring. It was a surprisingly good explore in the early days, and famously one part had stacks and stacks of boxes of unused Roo's from 1986!
Half Machine 2008, Copenhagen: THE SHAIDON EFFECT (DJ SET / LIVE DRUM SET / LIVE DANCERS) presents THE SPECIAL PLAYER
THE SPECIAL PLAYER is a fully interactive environment. Involving a sophisticated responsive motion tracking technique, professional dancers, DJs and the public, THE SPECIAL PLAYER explores a massively disquieting conspirative narration revolutionizing the concept of augmented reality and sense of self.
HALF MACHINE artists collective work within interactive art installations, dance performance and concert events - complex collaborative art experiments involving the audience.
An international group of artists create large scale light- and water installations, aerial suspensions, pyrotechnics, high voltage labs and more from recycled materials and electronic wizardry.
Remember these machines? They dispensed a little book of stamps, which always seemed to have a couple of odd denominations to make up the value. (I probably still have a few nearly-empty books somewhere, with their leftover penny stamps intact.)
