Dollar$ for Deadbeat$ benefit gig at The 12 Bar, Denmark Street London on May 24th 2009.
Roger Rags Segal was left stranded in London when the Sorry & The Sinatras tour was cancelled so friends rallied round to help him out with living costs and beer money, Rich Jones of The Loyalties organised the gig in fine punk as rock style.
The Eureka Machines provided a short 'support' set before the newly formed and never rehearsed together 'Dollar$ for Deadbeat$' crammed onto the small stage for some sweaty punk rocking.
Dollar$ for Deadbeats featured Roger 'Rags' (Sorry & The Sinatras), Ginger (The Wildhearts), Jorma Vik (The Bronx), Chris McCormack (3 Colours Red), Acey Slade (Murderdolls/Amen/Trashlight Vision), Dave Kerr (Sorry & The Sinatras, The Cherrykicks), Tom Spencer(The Yo-Yo's, The Loyalties), Rich Jones (The Black Halos, Amen, The Loyalties), members of the Eureka Machines, Pat Lynch (Junkstar), Rich Rags (Madison Strays, Role Models), Spider Stacy (The Pogues)

Julian Franklin taught the kids all about Simple Machines in an exciting program with lots of audience participation!
A couple of shots from the Sayas Coffee Shop that has just opened in Rotherham. I was commissioned to do some promotional and general shots for them.
Liked the sepia toning on the silver, black & white.
This soft drink machine sits on the side of the road a little south of where I live. The cans of drink at 75 cents and all the buttons say "Mystery" and vend a random drink to you.
It's fun although I got root beer and do not like it.
On this machine, you can buy single fare tickets, all of the various passes including the Monatskarte (monthly pass) and multi-zone tickets that let you travel on the Schnellbahn and ÖBB trains in the Wien region.

I know, I know… not a GUMBALL machine per se. That’s what we called them though, even when they were vending toys and not big colorful round gumballs. When I was a kid we weren’t “asking for a quarter for capsule toy machine, mom… please please please.” We asked for a quarter for the gumball machine.
When I was a wee little Nix I got my hand stuck in one of these machines and the fire department was called. I just had to let go of the pod and POOF I was magically freed. Haha.

Machine Age is a term associated with the early 20th Century. Considered to be at a peak in the time between the first and second World Wars it forms a late part of the Industrial Age and was utimately eclipsed by the Atomic Age beginning in 1945.

Not a computer in sight in this working machine shop in south-western Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1914 and still operating by the same family. Durable "old school" machine tools and the operator's skills. No CNC or 3D printer. Just line shafts and flat belt pulleys. A time capsule of early twentieth century technology.
A couple of shots taken as part of my 'day job' yesterday. If anyone tells you that we don't make anything in the UK anymore, they are wrong :-)
I believe there may actually be two Mystery Machines here in Lincoln. This one happened to be parked in College View when I stopped to drop some BookCrossing books at The Mill.

Half Machine 2008, Copenhagen: THE SHAIDON EFFECT (DJ SET / LIVE DRUM SET / LIVE DANCERS) presents THE SPECIAL PLAYER
THE SPECIAL PLAYER is a fully interactive environment. Involving a sophisticated responsive motion tracking technique, professional dancers, DJs and the public, THE SPECIAL PLAYER explores a massively disquieting conspirative narration revolutionizing the concept of augmented reality and sense of self.
HALF MACHINE artists collective work within interactive art installations, dance performance and concert events - complex collaborative art experiments involving the audience.
An international group of artists create large scale light- and water installations, aerial suspensions, pyrotechnics, high voltage labs and more from recycled materials and electronic wizardry.
This is a belt system for a single machine. By shifting between the belts, the lathe would be reversed.
