Here is my latest marble machine. It is called Mr. Marbles because the bowtie reminds me of Mr. Peanut. This machine is made from Maple, Cherry, and Zebrawood for the bowtie, however each one I make will have a different species of wood for the bowtie to give them each a bit of uniqueness. Every part has been made by hand, no cnc milling or computerized design was used.

Detail from a piece which is destined for exhibition next weekend. It will be shown at the Newman Brothers Coffin Factory in Birmingham, UK and will be entitled "A lament for an unheard voice.
My inspiration has been taken from notes found in the Shroud department where it was noted that for some burials it was required that female faces be shrouded as there was an open coffin tradition.
This image shows machine embroidery on to one layer of felt. I'm sampling figures and flower petals, both of which are quite small scale
This business may have been here long before zoning laws declared this a residential area. Such enterprises are commonly "grandfathered" - allowed to stay but create no precedent for similar ones to start up nearby.
It may have a long history of skilled wood workers, whose grandchildren perhaps are acquiring MBAs and going into finance.

Sewing machine Singer Featherweight machines were produced in black, beige/tan and white/green (what the company called Pale Turquoise) There were no red, blue or any other colour machines although many have been repainted in later life and new decals added Black 221 machines were produced at Elizabethport, New Jersey, and at Clydebank, Scotland. Beige/tan machines were produced at Clydebank and at St John's, Canada White/Green machines were produced only at Clydebank. Date made 1941. The Singer Featherweight portable sewing machine is a model made by that company between 1933 and 1964. The machine (model 221), adapted from an earlier portable, the Standard SewHandy (which company was bought out by Singer) weighs about 11 pounds and has been found to be an ideal machine for quilters and other sewers to take to classes or "on location." Very quiet and sturdily made with all-metal parts (mostly aluminum), the Featherweight sews only straight stitches but it sews them very well. Even the oldest machines, if they've been cared for, still sew wonderfully.
so my favorite shot of wednesday's walk was this. imagine a vending machine that dispenses suits for anyone in te family and caps, goggles, swimmies.
they have a great olympic sized pool about a half a mile (or less) from their apt building-- in addition to the pool there is an indoor gym were they seemed to be practicing soccer yesterday and a coffee bar. and they are expanding the sports complex!

THE BIRTH MACHINE IS H.R. GIGER'S ARTISTIC MANIFESTATION OF HIS STRONGLY HELD BELIEF THAT THE GREATEST THREAT TO OUR CIVILIZATION IS THE APPROACHING OVERPOPULATION OF THE PLANET.
THE INSPIRATION FOR THE BIRTH MACHINE SCULPTURE AND THE BULLET BABIES IS THE 1967, PEN AND INK GIGER ARTWORK, "BIRTHMACHINE", A CUT-AWAY IMAGE OF A FULLY LOADED WALTHER PISTOL.
A photo of a bootleg … no, wait, this is actually an official Transformers product. As in manufactured under license from Takara Co, Ltd.
I consider Beast Machines Silverbolt to be the worst Transformer toy I own. Now, technically, the G1 era has less articulated, uglier toys with less thought put into them but considering the time period this figure was released in and considering the figures that preceded it, Beast Machines Silverbolt is truly awful.
The beast mode is described optimistically on the packaging as a condor but it’s more accurately described as a jive ass turkey.
According to the bio, “Silverbolt became the victim of the worst kind of crime.” Yeah, my favourite Beast Wars character was turned into a terrible toy.
Takara re-released the figure with more show-accurate colours in 2005 as part of its Beast Wars Returns line but the colours are the least of this figure’s problems.
The machine is used for different kinds of round bottles and bottle in irregular shape in food, pharmacy and chemical industry. VFD is used to adjust the working speed freely.

saw this at the mall today right before a lady on a cellphone snapped at me "you can't take pictures in the mall". so i just said oops, sorry & walked away.
i've never heard that before-you can take photos in an airport but not a rinky dink mall?! she didn't even look like she worked there, just a shopper so has anyone else ever heard that before?
I've assembled the SEARS Machine Gun Emplacement set using Timeless parts and figure from Hasbro. All parts are Hasbro, except for the Sandbags, helmet and web belt. The web belt and helmet are from Elitebrigade. I don't know the source of the Sandbags.
Stan still hand builds tattoo machines which he sells at tattoo conventions, and sometimes over the internet on EBAY. He originally learned to build tattoo machines from Bill "Jonesy" Jones, one of the most famous tattoo machine builders of all time. Stan's tattoo machines are very limited in availability, and are sought after by tattoo artists all over the world. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on one, they are fast becoming a collector's item.

We got a new donation over at The Geek Group this week - Haas TM1 and TL1 machines. (CNC lathe and mill) This gave us the opportunity to re-arrange the machine shop... I think it's quite pretty! In the adjacent room is the SR-100, a CNC router table.
