About as close as i can possibly get to my house, which is just over a mile away as the crow flies, making this my local shot. A lucky patch of sun illuminates 59204 and its train as it crosses Holes Bay working 7V52 12:05 Hamworthy - Whatley Quarry stone empties.
NOTE: Taken with the aid of the camera on a pole.

A set of Cargo-D Mark 2s and 3s form this charter top and tailed with 57 601, climbing the 1 in 200 from Northampton to Roade.

Newly formed 458534 was sent to Bournemouth for some 'special tests' and i seen here n the Depot in a lucky patch of sun with ED's 235 and 133 parked up on number 2 road. a 455 and a 159 can just be seen inside the shed such was the diversity of Bournemouth's workload at the time where a lot of C4 work was done at the Depot
On 6 July 1996, 60056 William Beveridge passes the site of Thankerton station on a southbound mgr - and illuminated by a lucky patch of sun!
20118+20132 passing Brunstane on 16 June 2025 with 5Z60 1025 Bo'ness Jn Exchange Sdg to Crewe H.S. ECS working. A lucky patch of sun during a bit of a cloudy morning. The eastbound connection from Bo’ness means that trains heading south need to come through Edinburgh to avoid any of those pesky run rounds, giving me a convenient photo opp. Apparently the 20s are due to come off at Upperby, after what I imagine will be a bit of a stagger up to Beattock Summit.
A lucky patch of sun catches 66079 as it heads over the Hitchin flyover on 1Z56 Anglain Backwaters railtour from Finsbury Park to Lowestoft and then subsequently over the Ipswich Bacon Factory curve. 25 May 2014.
In a lucky patch of Sunshine, Dubai Air Wing's (Royal Flight) A6-MMM, a Boeing 747-422 passed over Brick End Broxted at 1359 on 01/05/19, with flight DUB2 from Seongman (South Korea) to London Stansted.
At 0900 this flight was expected at 1400 & 5 hours later it arrived on time, after a flight of 5,833 miles! (Far more punctual than Sunday night's Caledonian Sleepers, whose brand new £150 million coaches, had delays of over 7 hours!).
Ploughs through a lucky patch of sunshine as it spans Bawtry Viaduct with an UP working. The light almost makes the livery slightly attractive! - 22/10/2016
A lucky patch of sun catches 6201 as it passes Dent station with a northbound CME on 24 August 1991.
59203 at Mitre Bridge junction in a lucky patch of sun working a late Angerstein Wharf to Acton TC loaded stone train of sea dredged aggregates. DB 66118 is seen strolling past Ramsey Road, Whittlesey in a lucky patch of sun working 6L62, the 12:53 Mountsorrel - Chesterton Sdgs SDT train on the 3rd May 2013.
A lucky patch of sun (note the background is still completely in cloud shadow) for 'Roger Ford/Modern Railways Magazine' braking for the Manningtree stop. Less than an hour after this was recorded the spring tide had completely covered all the estuary banks in the middle distance.

LNER Peppercorn class, Tornado passing Highworth Junction, Swindon in a very lucky patch of sun with a Tyseley - Bristol move.
In a lucky patch of Winter Sunshine, 66025 & 053 (t&t) approached Bayford at 1207 on 09/12/18 with 3J31, the 1048 RHTT from Peterborough LIP (Circular) via Harringay Up Rev Sdg (twice) & Foxton, running via the "Hertford Loop" in both directions, then Welwyn Garden City in both directions, which was formed of 2 vehicles.
Newly named 66739 worked 4L22 Hams Hall-Felixstowe and was photographed in a rare and lucky patch of sun at Northampton...Apr 5 2013.
This is the going away shot of the evening Barking - Gospel Oak service, now crossing the Lea Valley line south of Tottenham Hale, and also in a lucky patch of sun (the eastbound train a minute earlier was not so lucky).

Not quite on a par with Mark Jamieson shot here, no Hercules in the sky for a start and the clarity wasn't great but considering an hour earlier it was 100% grey, I thought it was worthy of a shot considering the chimney of the cement works is due to come down on Sunday 18th September 16. 59001 'Yeoman Endeavour' passes Westbury works in a lucky patch of sun lighting the works and train, the 6L21 Whatley to Dagenham stone working. 14/9/16
In a very lucky patch of sun, appropriately liveried 60099 passes New Barnetby with 6K22 Santon Foreign Ore Terminal to Immingham iron ore empties.
In a lucky patch of sunshine, Astral Aviation/Air Atlanta Icelandic's TF-AMU, a Boeing 747-48EF(SCD) is seen over Brick End Broxted at 1042 on 12/02/19, with flight 8V2601 from Nairobi (Kenya) to Leige.
TF-AMU was a regular visitor to Stansted, until Astral moved their operations to Doncaster & today's flight was shown on FR24, as going there when I left home, so thanks for the Headsup on the diversion or re-route.
Unfortunately, the other plane of interest, UK-67001, departed early at 1050 (scheduled 1230) & i missed it (just like photographing trains!!!).

Trans - Pennine Express 1U52 the 12.48pm Scarborough to Manchester Piccadilly catches a lucky patch of sunlight as it makes an on - time departure from Seamer.
The train locomotive is 68027 'Splendid' coupled to Coaching Set TP13.

In a very lucky patch of sun, DRS Class 37/4 No.37419 Carl Haviland is seen passing through Postwick on the 12th of July 2019 working the 08:36 2P12 Service from Norwich to Great Yarmouth. Class mate 37424 is seen on the rear.

60091 propels loaded Falcons from the virtual quarry to East yard before the yard shunting locomotive became a 66. 66172 speeds past on the main with empty car wagons from Eastern Docks to Halewood. A lucky patch of sun made the shot! Coincidently both locomotives are named
King Edward 1 heads 'The Brunel Anniversary Limited' through a lucky patch of sunlight at Standish. The train ran from BTM to BTM via Cheltenham, Hereford and STJ. Cam Long Down and Cam Peak dominate the RH skyline.
