As part of the River to River Festival, 14 museums and cultural institutions in lower Manhattan had free admissions on 06.24.14. It was a work day for me but the museums were closing later than usual so I was able to go to the Federal Hall National Memorial and the National Archives at New York City.
Lower German Flower Garden
The Herrenhausen Gardens (Herrenhäuser Gärten) in Hannover are four gardens that surrounded a summer residence of the kings of Hannover. Schloss Herrenhausen was destroyed in 1943 (and rebuilt modern in 2013) but the magnificent formal Great Garden (Großer Garten) survived as a baroque court garden from the late 17th century to the present. It is open daily with the original open-air theater still often in use.
This is one of my dream photo expeditions, the shapes and colors of sandstone in a little crevice in the desert outside Page, Arizona, Lower Antelope Canyon. My sister and I made the trip 120 feet down ladders with other visitors from all over the globe. The tour is about two hours and is simply amazing, The Navajo guide said a sheep fell in the crevice in the early 1900s and a little girl daughter of the farmer went down to look for it and that is when they discovered the what is called a "Slot Canyon". It is possible there are many more, but this one so close to Lake Powell was formed by water run off which over the years has shaped the sandstone to the colors and curves it has today.
On the left, my personal appraisal is unworked stage one copper. I suppose it could be scoured or otherwise cleaned up, but I have seen plenty of float looking just like this. Same crystal structure with little relief. This piece (I think) has provenance to Western Keweenaw and was not worked. This could be because of it's attractiveness, or possibly unsuitability due to mineral combination. I do recognize this as an informal locality type when I see these included crystals. I am always open to debate and new info. On the right, my estimation is Phase one copper. However, there is Extensive folding at the top right of this piece which cannot be seen in this image. I will update it this evening 3/26/2014.

Lower Garden District, New Orleans. Recently placed stealth art "statue" of Pikachu the Pokemon on the neutral ground of Terpsichore Street between Prytania and Coliseum Square has been getting attention. The "Pokemonument" and nearby sights.
