Did you guess the Grand's Tree?
I'm going to make this super sweet and short. The Grand's Tree is magnificent, although I'm a bit saddened there is no topper. No star, no angel, no weird pointy orb thingy I've seen on some trees. Oh well. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Have you eaten at Restaurantosaurus?
I wanted to take it back to the little details of Walt Disney World for today because there are some of my favorite things that aren't huge postcard of calendar type shots that need their day in the spotlight. For instance this little gem. The Restaurantosaurus Trailer is a Airstream Trailer attached to Restaurantosaurus in DinoLand USA and very few people go near it or even sit in it to have their meal. The restaurant is a great place...

Where is this in Walt Disney World?
On my many adventures through this new world to me, I come across places that are more peaceful than others. I like these kinds of places. This one in particular is one of my favorites. It's a bit out of the way and actually you typically need a fastpass to even get here. I just walked by this place the other night and remembered I had taken...

Just one reason why I love HDR photography. A normal shot would either have too much shadow, or blown out highlights.
Pretend like you can't see the blurring in the middle of the shot - handheld on a cruise ship does not help when compiling shots. ;-)
One evening on a fishing trip to Canada the water was so still. There was no breeze at all and I knew then that this would make an amazing HDR photo. That is one reason I love HDR's, they might be controversial, but they capture how my mind remembers that day looking. I'll never forget how beautiful that day was thanks to this HDR.

What did you take a picture of that you were glad you had your camera on you?
When I go to EPCOT I seem to forget about this side of the park. It's not that it's good, it's just that I have not given it the full attention it deserves yet. I haven't even experiences Soarin' on this side of the world yet. But I did come to the park one night and walked over to this side briefly. I saw this sunset and couldn't help take a shot. I wasn't really planning on taking anything. It goes to show, you should always have your...

Where do you feel like you have really stepped away from reality and gone somewhere else?
The other day, I got the chance to sit in front of Mr. Joe Rohde and listen to him go on about how amazing the expansion will be for the Harambe Market and how Africa will blow our minds. He showed photos of the real places in Africa and how they match up with Disney counterparts. I was fascinated by how they...

Taken from 3 exposures, processed in Photomatix, CS3 and Lightroom for color and sharpness tweaking. I think this one turned out pretty good. Over all it was a mostly cloudy day, but the HDR brought out what little sun there was. I like the bricks also on the foundation. In the original pictures you could barely see the mountain in the background. Gotta love HDR!
Here's a look at one of the originals:
Which Pavilion is your favorite?
I have watched many movies that take place in Paris, France. And one show I remember watching in my youth was Highlander. A few seasons actually took place in Paris and I'm not sure exactly why, but Seattle wasn't being very nice to having people shoot a TV show with sword fighting in their slums. I loved the show, and one of my favorite things was where Duncan McLeod of the Clan McLeod would have his...

Do you ever stop here and shoot stuff?
One of the fun things to do in Magic Kingdom is to venture to Frontierland and go to this tucked away location a try your hand at shooting targets to make things move or light up. My friend makes it a point to come here at least once a visit to the park. I love these games. This one is one of the best, but for some reason I hardly ever see it busy. Maybe because people are really bad shots. I happen...

Have you been to Enchanted Tales with Belle?
First you walk around a quaint little cottage, then you enter in through the door to find an abandoned living area. After that you are ushered into... well I'm not going to spoil that bit for you if you haven't already gone into Belle's Cottage to see the Enchanted Tales with Belle. Many times I go into places to take...

Did you know if you read this blog, you'll get a free Pro Photography tip?
There is something about a quiet Disney Park. As I walked around the park one morning before the guests were allowed to go beyond Fantasyland and enter into Liberty Square to Adventureland areas, I found myself in one of my favorite areas of Magic Kingdom. This area, even though it's mainly a...

Which attraction in Walt Disney World has the best queue?
Wondering around Disney's Animal Kingdom late at night, I stumbled upon an area I had never been as a guest. I was so turned around yet dumbfounded by the beauty and detail in this place. Covered from the light rain, I was happy to find shelter in the queue of Kali River Rapids. Not only was I happy to out of the rain, but the things here turned my tired eyes to a wide-eyed stare...

Are you excited to see the renovations completed on the Polynesian Resort?
With there being so much construction all over the parks, the resorts are having their fair share as well. The Polynesian is getting a pretty nice overhaul and I think will be amazing, but for the time being, there is not much to take pictures of, except walls. I happen to be walking from my bus stop to the Monorail and I stumbled upon this amazing angle. I love the theming here. I can't wait till...

Which is your favorite side of Cinderella Castle?
One of the great design features of Cinderella Castle is that you can photograph it from so many different angles. I have shot it from many of them and still haven't gotten every one. This is one of my all time favorites, though. I love the reflections. They are almost perfectly clear. This is part of my BPO Collection I love walking around...

Where in the "World" can you find this?
As you get off the Seas with Nemo and Friends ride you exit to a huge area to see all sorts of animals from under the sea. If you stand in this location, behind you is an amazing aquarium filled with some amazing creatures. This is one amazing place and unfortunately when I've gone, it's late at night and all the activities are mostly done for the day. I just love this area though and this building is...

What do you think of the architecture of Animal Kingdom Lodge?
I don't usually like to make complaints on this blog, but today I would like to ask you all, why did the architects design Animal Kingdom Lodge so oddly? I don't get why you have to walk to 3 different half levels just to get to places. I got so confused just to get to this place. I was fine with the adventure, but if I was a guest I would be quite upset. This seems to go along with the design of Discover Island at...

What can you learn from a photo like this?
It was a nice morning in Animal Kingdom when I started my day. The clouds were mostly flat and the air was crisp. Guests started to come into the park and I had almost given up on taking any photos of any place where they were walking around. Luckily, they hadn't gone over toward the Lion King Theater yet. I set up and took...

Another amazing sunset over the Savannah river. The photo was taken from the GA side of the River.
Three exposures -2,0,+2. Merged in Photomatix using Trey Ratcliff's "A World in HDR" tutorial as a guide. Final editing done in Photoshop CS3.
I would do with this location, such stunning scenery, hidden secret fish ponds, views onto the Dee Estuary, further onto Wales, what a vista!
A composition from my secret fav. photography... HDR <-- How I love HDR!
Visitng Toulouse over the next few days, so sorry for the late post, I will get back to your streams as soon as I get back... From 24degreeC warmth :)

What do you like about the Wilderness Lodge?
While exploring the Wilderness Lodge at the Walt Disney Resort, I found this little area in one of the other buildings. What you are not able to see is the fireplace behind the bird cage. On the other side of the wall is the fireplace and a great place to sit and relax. I really love this place. It reminds me so much of the Grand Californian in California. It has that homey feeling that rustic cabins can give...

Of all the parks in the Walt Disney Resort, EPCOT seems to me to be the most photogenic. Maybe because it's so easy to get lost in all the theming. Or maybe it's because it's the park I've given most of my time to outside of work. I'm certain that it's like I have said before. I feel the most at home in EPCOT. World Showcase or anywhere else, it feels like my kind of park. A place to look to the future and learn from other cultures. I'm all about technology and trying not to be so ignorant to the traditions of others in this lovely world we share.
I put a lot of love into this photo. I hope you all can feel it and wish to share this your friends and family. I'm also interested in hearing from you all as to what you would like to see pictures of. Please make comments below or send me a message on any of the social media sites I'm on.

Have you seen The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights in Disney's Hollywood Studios?
On a personal note I am having a very difficult time this year with the Holiday Season. Five years ago, I was in Disneyland working in PhotoPass and I was having the time of my life. I was experiencing my very first Disney Christmas and I was in love. Now I'm in Disney World and I am feeling a bit lonely. Disney World is so large and every bit of music and decoration reminds me of the past and how I miss that. But the other night...

Are you daring enough to ride Splash Mountain in the winter?
I ventured into the Magic Kingdom the other day before the guests were allowed into the park so I could capture a few photos. I knew this would be something that most people would not be able to see or experience for themselves, so I found something I could share with all of you that I get to see on a very regular basis. As a Cast Member, I will often come into the parks before everyone else is allowed to get things ready for you. We prep the...

What is your favorite thing about the Backlot Tour?
With the many things available to do and see in Disney's Hollywood Studios, one of the things that I think is really fun but not well advertised is the Backlot Tour. It's kinda shoved back in a corner of Studios where people don't go very often. Sure there is a restaurant area and the Streets of America, but even then the cast members that stand as sentries don't seem to want more people to enjoy...
