Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

Not my usual work. Although I'm trying a few new things lately. I don't want my pictures to have so much processing......of course I still love hdr.

I've also got an ace in the hole, I'll upload it sometime next week.

Cheers and have a great weekend

This was actually first set of pictures taken on this Saturday trip. Yes, I must say set as this is another HDR with 6 images. Not the easy one as while shooting and processing I had fight with lens flares – beauty of shooting into the light. Sky was still cloudy and worked out this way. I have used one of the techniques that Trey Ratcliff ( Stuck in Customs ) was talking in a podcast.

www.prophotoshow.net/blog/2009/04/14/pro-photography-podc...

This is not shot podcast , it's over an hour. Photomatix as a premier HDR software has problems with daytime sky. This was really showing where the sum was. I used one of underexposed ( I think -3 ) and dogged the that section of the image from HDR . Please let me know what you think – you critique is always welcomed.

I wish you all great week !

( PS , I could shoot so much more and maybe get descent at it … but the job … that thing that helps getting the toys , take so much time away from playing with them )

Below is the image #4 of 6 more less “0” exposure – the reason why I love HDR. It let you look not what you see but what it could be …. much more fun , more creative. Are we photographers or maybe we are visual artists … I don't think that anyone should be force to choose.

Trees by Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918 / New Jersey)

I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest

Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,

And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear

A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;

Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,

But only God can make a tree.

I'm unleashing my book "HDR UNLEASHED" in July.

VISIT MY FACEBOOK PAGE. I'VE LOADED SOME OF MY DISNEY PICTURES. UNTOUCHED.

Tonemapped on photomatix from 5 exposures -2 -1 0 +1 +2 EV

This capture is relativly close from what I had the chance to see on that day. I LOVE HDR =D

This is a relatively old shot, taken in Goose Island. I love wandering around here, as it mixes up some urban grunge between some really expensive nice places. With that, I tend to feel a little safer walking through here with my camera by myself.

I love HDR, simply put. but it's a dangerous technique to enter in to, as it can so easily be overdone, overused, abused, and just plain ruin a photograph (hell, I look at shots of mine from a short while ago and am appalled at the crap i processed). but, I just love how it can transform an image to enhance contrast and details, and provide increased depth. I felt it fit well with the urban feel of this scene, so I went all out and had some fun in post here.

This is a shot from Schloss Schönbrunn. The weather even was so kind as to give us a beautiful sunset as it had been grey all day long before.

But we didn't let us get down by the bad weather. Instead we took the opportunity to visit the exhibition of some of the pictures of Andreas H. Bitesnitch - one of the most famous act photographers of the present. He is in fact from Vienna :-)

I just love HDR this time of year.

Time for a quick change away from HDR. Still love HDR though so hopefully can get some done in the next few days if i can buy time :P These series of night shots have been taken quite a while back (when i don't know anything about HDR yet :)) All these are 1 single RAW shot and have been sitting ducks on my hard drive haha!

This building is Elder Hall which is also part of University of Adelaide. Lots of musical events are held here during the year. Nice organ pipes with awesome sound in there!

This is another vertorama from my sunny afternoon is the blist of a english day. can'twait to do it again. :-)

this vertorama is the first one i have done with no hdr treatment at all. i'm very proud of this picture. i think i'll do some more this way. it is great way to understand how you control light manually. i really love HDR but you can't always rely on it, other wise i'll never understand the true power of the light.

taken on my nikon D300 using a Sigma 10-20mm edited in photoshop. did have a littleplay with some DRI treament on the clouds and the blueness, using a -2 stop exposure.

hope you like flickr world?

'While you were sleeping'

Abu Dhabi, 24th Jan 2013 at 7AM.

I specialize in aerial photography and spend a lot of time shooting subject from helicopters. One thing I miss about shooting from a moving aircraft however is stability. I love HDR photography and to shoot 5 or 7 bracketed exposures where the longest one can last several seconds or even minutes, you need a stable, solid platform. Your camera has to be fixed to a sturdy tripod - plain and simple.

This is why I always wanted to shoot from the roof of the World Trade Center Tower 1 in Abu Dhabi when it reached the 98th floor! From its peak, I could have a true bird's eye perspective of the town below without the drawbacks of the aircraft as a shooting platform. (ok, I guess I'm a bit spoiled, lol)

It took a long time to secure the permit to access the construction site and when I set the date to shoot the town, another rare thing happened; low rolling fog. Any cityscape photographer will be able to tell you that there is NOTHING as beautiful as the fog over the city in the early morning hours. What an incredible blessing and lucky it was to be shooting from the tallest floor in town, as the only photographer ever to be allowed on its roof on the morning with fog which happens once or twice a year at most!

I was so excited when I saw the view in front of me that I completely forgot to look at the platform I was standing on; a wooden scaffolding on the OUTSIDE of the building, over 330 meters high. I was too happy to shit myself from fear! I used Manfrotto Magic Arms to fix the camera onto the scaffolding handrail as the ledge I was standing on was only 30 cm wide and there was no space whatsoever to spread the tripod.

I quickly snapped 7 bracketed exposure to created a dynamically blended cityscape of Abu Dhabi.

I've won several photo competitions worldwide with this shot but to me, what matters the most is the thrill which goes into producing a single frame such as this one. The greatest reward I get from photography is a sense of satisfaction and self fulfillment.

Gear: Canon 5dmk2 and Canon TS-E 17mm f4.0L. This lens is quite possibly the best piece of glass you can buy for Canon or any other DSLR maker. Promote Remote Control was used for quick and painless exposure bracketing.

Software: I started in Lighroom 4.1 where I pre-processed the bracketed exposures and exported them as 16-bit TIFF files to Oloneo PhotoEngine for HDR tonemapping. Once I got my HDR base image, I exported it as a 16-bit TIFF image to Photoshop 5.1 where the real work begain. I'm using dynamic blending technique where various patches are applied across the image in order to 'normalize' the dynamic range of the image. I strive for a natural, if somewhat stylized look in my work. I most definitely dislike the cartoonish, flat looking and overcooked HDR images.

Primary grading was accomplished with Color Efex Pro and Nik Software Viveza 2. To sharpen the image, I use NIK Software Output Sharpener which I highly recommend. It does what it's supposed to do without degrading your image with nasty halos and excessive texture structuring.

I love this place. I love HDR.

Enjoying a period of non HDR work. Although I have merged a lighter exposure image in PS to reveal subtle details in the shadows of the boats hull and wheelhouse. I love HDR, but sometimes less is more with regards to processing.

At this rate I'll be looking to buy some Lee Filters (if I can find any in stock).....

I've taken the shot using a Nokia 6288.... Therefore it may in a low quality and not so clear.... Actually i didn't edit the pic to share with u guys, but to learn the HDR using Photoshop CS5... however after the edit i found the pic so beautiful and different from the original one and my mind changed.... therefore i shared it with u guys.... need to know your views about my very first HDR.... i love HDR....:

Hello Everyone:0)

Once again I hope you all are having an AWESOME weekend.

This is a HDR picture of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse somewhere along the Oregon Coast. The thing that I love about this photo is that wave hitting the rock and the lighthouse itself. (MAN I LOVE HDR)

Me and my uncle (www.flickr.com/photos/fresnatic/) went here when I went to go visit him not to long ago in the middle of April. This was a fun day because the two days before this was nothing but RAIN filled skies.

I hope you like it:0)

Have a nice week, and

LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. I'll get to your photos throughout the week.

peace out!!!!!!

@ Times Square, NY

Gotta love HDR!

Yesterday morning I was quietly (or at least that was I wanted to show) driving toward the mountains, when Irene, watching the clouds, said: daddy, you are a big big cloud.

Does she feels my unspeakably need to disappear, to be blown away, to re-arrange my being under new forms?

In the meanwhile, I can see the red fillet. Holding the scissors.
