I'm a little addicted. You can keep your People and OK! magazines. There's nothing like a brand new House Beautiful with its glossy pages and gorgeous photos. Cottage Living was my favorite but it has since gone the way of the economy. This is my collection from our major remodel four years ago and subsequent new home project when we moved two years after that to the home we're in now.
I don't buy them as often as I used to but every now and then, I'll pick one up at the grocery store and languish in a little bit of heaven within the pages of a home magazine.

During the springtime of 2009, I was working as a research assistant in the World Literature department at Simon Fraser University, and my main duties consisted of scanning old fairytale 'tomes and cataloging citations in a massive online database. However, my favorite task was reading the short stories and photographing the cunning illustrations of Japanese folklore.

I've been looking after this cat here and there just to make sure he's doing okay. I worry that he will love me too much and that Monkey will feel uneasy with a new cat in the house. So I have to set boundaries with him. But he has been looking a lot better since I began caring for him. So I think overall it's a good thing that he has me to look after him.
