Sooooooo, I totally didn't do the past couple of days. I've been so busy with school work. :l Whoooops.
So this is home to me. <3
Harry Potter is life
We didn't do much today except lounge around and be lazy. We were both definitely jet lagged and didn't have much energy for anything. We did get the house put back together and got our stuff unpacked. It was neat to look at all of the goodies we brought back for ourselves as well as a few things for family and friends. We looked at pictures and relaxed on the couch and basically just enjoyed being home.
Dad with Grandpa (Mom's Dad).
This is at Grandma and Grandpa's retirement home in Arkansas. After living in Chicago for years, and Grandma being from the Bronx in NY, they decided it was time for some tranquility. Grandpa, particularly, wanted to retire to a place with a good fly-fishing scene, and so they ended up in Mountain Home, AR.
One of my favorite features of the photo, though, is dad's white shirt with white jeans. Very Miami Vice, very 1980s.
Sofie and Harlow
I just want to thank Yure for being such a sweetheart for allowing me to adopt her and for assuring me she would get to me soon when I began to worry! Thanks Yure! She will be loved!
PS Thanks "Fergo" for announcing her for adoption. Without you, I wouldn't have found her or Yure!
i've fallen in love with my camera. it's true. i admit it. true, honest love. although i sometimes feel i have to hide it to certain family members and friends (they wouldn't understand) i've found a place where i can be totally open about it. a place where i feel home. a place where there seems to be soo many like minded people feeling the same sort of love. these people embrace me, empower me, make me feel like i'm not an oddity. they encourage me to take chances. almost push me to go out in public and loudly exclaim my love. i feel so full in all of "you people's" company. Thank You all! ~ my only problem with this is i feel my love to be a bit fickle. you see, there is yet another with which i would love to have a deep, meaningful relationship with.....the 60D.
