Some post Christmas mist, seen in my local area in North East Hampshire.

On close up,one can see some partridges just above lower hedge line.

It's snowing here since today. I don't want to stop me from giving some more autumn pictures. But gradually it will change the colour of the stream.

……A local walk along the disused railway line from Newport to Stafford, late afternoon low winter sunshine providing some long shadows & deep contrasts.…… Alan:-).…….

Couldn't resist to get up at sunrise and capture this field which I've driven past many times en route to get my daughter at college.

(Technical info, 3-shot pano)

After this capture, I had the great fortune to meet a very friendly farmer who invited me onto his farm and "stay as long as I wanted" with my camera. This was magic to my ears (and eyes), and to anyone who is beckoned to the country! I will be posting more of those images in the coming days :)

Just one more of these autumn themes .... just in time before the advent of snow... and the Advent decoration motifs begin to celebrate this Special Time of the Year ... :)

In case you were wondering, that is the Empire State Building back there.

There where some long shadows at sunset today.

Have driven by this place numerous times and admired the mosaic of "Out Lady Of Guadalupe" on the side of this vibrant blue wall, noting I need to shot this on a late afternoon day!

Well yesterday it happened! Walked up to get a close up but the sun so so bright and the tiles vere very reflective I was not able to! Enjoy!

Dat viel nog niet mee om onopvallend een zelfportret te maken :-)

The elegant lamp of a derelict church cast a long shadow in the Winter sun.

Happily, this city church in Gloucester is going to be restored.

This area has long been a favourite place for me to come late afternoon on a sunny day for the sun casts long shadows. I might like early morning too but I will probably never know for there's the bit where you have to get out of bed early.

I think I may stop using the location marker map on my photos because the places it says are just so wrong. The map used to work just fine. :-/

The Valley of Agabat is deep within the white desert.

I had to be there to feel the out-worldly beauty of the place. Millions of years ago, the place used to be under the sea. Over the years, unique rock formations of limestone, chalk (and maybe sand) have developed. When I stood atop the small rock cliff in one of the valleys and the valley with the rock formation unfolded before me, and there was not a single trace of another living being in entire neighborhood, I found a unique moment of peace and contentment.

Don't miss it!
