I forgot where I took this or what the ring was good for. I liked the long shadow of it on the ochre coloured wall though
An attractive stream spilling out of the forest, is tempting enough to wonder along.

Black and White Studies
I like to create Black and White images where I can. These are just a few that have been taken lately, chosen at random, no general theme, just as they come.

Returning from a walk across the fields in Ham Hill Country Park, the light across this field caught my eye and I took this photograph to capture a moment of beauty.

It’s been a long time since I shot this location in Hull, and I’ll probably have to come back when the sun is actually rising in the Centre of the tree line.

Happy New Year to all my Flickr friends and acquaintances! Wishing you a peaceful 2018 filled with love! And thank you for your views, faves, and comments, and especially for the inspiration you provide with your photos!!
Quite a tricky shot this - was almost shooting into the Sun just after sunrise hence on the left side the highlights only just avoided being blown away. Wind was very very weak so had to use big stopper & little stopper together (never done that before) - thought I'd grown out of big stopper style shots but I haven't I'm afraid. If you use a dslr don't you have to be a bit creative??? I took a handheld shot of this the day before but without the long exposure just looks like a shot that a friend of mine calls "a snappy snap" :))
Thanks to Everyone who took the trouble to view, comment or fave.
