Testing E-M1 with Sigma 30mm F1.4 FT lens. The AF feels surprisingly somewhat faster or more certain than on E-M1 than on E-5. Maybe the EVF negates the peculiar nature of this lens?

This is the beach in my hometown of West Haven, Connecticut. I took this when I was home for Christmas. My brother-in-law and I went out shooting pictures.

A month or so later, after taking this shot, I long to sit on the bench and stare into the sea. I long to hear the quiet waves lap onto the shore. I long for that calm to wash over me that always does when I hear the waves and smell the salt air and see the seagulls circle over head.

The last few weeks since I came back to Jerusalem have been long and tiring. Full of images of war, dreams of things I forgot to do at work, and nightmares of what ifs? for friends and their children inside Gaza. The road to recovery for Gazans is long and hard and they are all too familiar with hardship and suffering. I urge you to pray for their resilience despite their loss and pain.

Sometimes you lose something out of your life for it to be replaced by something better. A broken heart has a lot of room.

She said "Don't look back. Keep your eyes on me and dance with me."

I did and she gave me two sons.

Aged 25 and 23 now.

Married 27 years and counting.

Playing around with a composition of the top of an office building as seen through the dome at the entrance below

many of you had already heard about the novel/movie Lolita

The first time I've heard of it is from a Katy Perry song (One Of The Boys)

I read the summary on Wiki and thought that it was really good.

I wish that I'll have a chance to watch it.

thats all Thank you : ]

We can't go to the zoo without Madi wanting to ride the carousel. Since she was a bit sad today that Maxine went to the movies with a friend we spoiled her with a ride and lemonade and cotton candy. She said it was the funnest zoo ever.

I have noticed that my longing to make explore has led me down a path that I don't like. Instead of just the pure beuaty of composition, I am relying on high contrast, saturation, long exposures, and other ways to add to my photographs. Photography is not about all of the editing and comments, but it is about the beauty of our earth and the way a photographer captures that beauty. So I give you a shot that is not edited one bit. It is naked, raw, stripped. It may not get a ton of comments, and it may not make explore, but it is nature. It is our earth. It is mine. I am fine if this shot doesn't get a single view, but that I am trying something new. Unedited.

Millimina longing after a baby sister. Hope I can spend some money soon and buy "Mirabell".

Sometimes I get that yearning for the smooth, red, granite rocks of home, the clear blue sea, the fragrance of the morning and the sound of water lapping the rocks or waves washing over me as I lie there with my feet in the water on the silkysoft rocks waiting for the next wave...

Here in Shanghai I have found these small pieces of red rough stone on the edge of a pond-like lake close by and for the moment they are the only red rocks in sight and the water in the pond is sometimes blue too.

I prefer this treatment to the original photo

Medium-sized eagle in the bird family Accipitridae which also includes many other diurnal raptors such as buzzards, kites and harriers. It is the only member of the genus Terathopius and probably the origin of the "Zimbabwe bird", national emblem of Zimbabwe. This is a common resident species of the open savanna country in Sub-Saharan Africa. It nests in trees, laying a single egg which is incubated by the female for 42 to 43 days, with a further 90 to 125 days until fledging. Bateleurs pair for life, and will use the same nest for a number of years. Unpaired birds, presumably from a previous clutch, will sometimes help at the nest. The Bateleur is a colourful species with a very short tail which makes it unmistakable in flight. The adult male is 60 to 75 cm (24 to 30 in) long with a 175 cm (5.75 ft) wingspan. He has black plumage except for the chestnut mantle and tail, grey shoulders, and red facial skin, bill and legs. The female is similar to the male except that she has grey rather than black secondary flight feathers. Immature birds are brown with white dappling and have greenish facial skin. It takes them seven or eight years to reach full maturity. The prey of this raptor is mostly birds, including pigeons and sandgrouse, and also small mammals; it also takes carrion.
