May you never know hunger
May you love with a full heart
The light burn in your eyes
May the fire be your friend
And the sea rock you gently
May the moon light your way
Till the wind sets you free
Shriekback, Cradle Song
Meeresleuchten
Aus des Meeres dunklen Tiefen
Stieg die Venus still empor
Als die Nachtigallen riefen
In dem Hain, den sie erkor.
Und zum Spiegel, voll Verlangen
Glätteten die Wogen sich
Um ihr Bild noch aufzufangen
Da sie selbst auf ewig wich.
Lächelnd gönnte sie dem feuchten
Element den letzten Blick
Davon blieb dem Meer sein Leuchten
Bis auf diesen Tag zurück

A little something for Fence Friday although I don't think it is HFF for this little guy.
I have had network and internet issues which caused my recent absence. I believe those are remedied now and I will be here regularly again. I will catch up on your images although I may not comment on each one.

Abandoned house in Luxembourg
Being in this house, I felt so much melancholy, it was clear it had been a house were very elderly people had been living, but after a very long life of happiness and family. To see it so frozen in time, unloved and silent felt strange and eerie.
In this room, a child bed was ll that was left and the photo you see on the wall was made from locks of hair to look like a flower.

The longing gaze beneath the Cascada de Nubes, La Palma’s remarkable Cloud-Waterfall, toward the sunlit mountainsides we are heading for.
Wrapped in the suspended water of cascading clouds, the scenic landscape unfolds into an unintentional painting from inside the sea of fog.

Still taking that Canon pancake out for a daily street shooting spin...kinda digging it. What IS kinda sad, is there's very little left of the great Music Row in NYC. Sam Ash has moved downtown, Rogue has been gone for years...Drummer's World is gone...
Just Rudy's is still here...and still manages to attract the hopes and dreams of people daily.
Is there anything better than to be longing for something, when you know it is within reach?

I was aiming for that 50s vogue magazine image, you know the type, A woman with a silly narrow waist, pert breasts and big full skirt.
Well I managed the illusion so I am happy ;-)
So longing for the time when we can get out and about.

The paper whites are just beginning to blosom. Finally some fresh flowers to photograph again. I've been longing for them.
