went a bit more contrasty with processing and a different textured background . . .

speaks for itself . . . i've been also feeling this longing thing the past couple of days, longing for my family, for friends, for someone . . . things shall pass and hopefully i will still the sun after the rain . . .

Following my own teachings I wanted to explore new ways of Origami and paper art to create more artistic sculptures.

This is another piece in my series "Human Nature".

Wet-Folded from a rectangle of roughly 102 x 66 cm Arches water color paper (300g/m²),

Designed and folded by me.

So.. it's been raining cats and dogs for days and I haven't seen the sun since last week... Writing to Santa to complain and ask for happy (sunny!) shooting days...

Some new life in the dark days ;-)

She misses him. ....

Her thoughts linger...

Aching for a touch. ...

The feel of his lips. ..

Just to hear his voice. ..

See that smile. ...

But. ..the sadness stays....

Her bright eyes dull. ..

Her smile gone. ...

Oh how she longs for him.

Well I am at work and not looking like this sadly. Not long to go though only a few hours left. I so longing for tomorrow got a nice day planned

I'm not getting out to take real photos much just now with the icy conditions and lockdown.

My daughter Emily is modeling for this shot.

Less than three weeks until my friends and I finish our A Levels... We're desperate for summer!

I won't be skiing, or shooting much at all for the next 18 months:

I had to do this to prove to myself I can do simple portraits like this. And I like this myself. I feel I have gotten so much better focusing and expanding. :) this is from yesterday btw.

just taking a quick peek to let you all know i'll be off Flickr, hopefully for not too long, to get rid of the flu. it's already Friday in other parts of the world so . . . TGIF!

Many years ago I lived in Japan for a short period of time. Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to go back since then. But the desire to return to the land of the rising sun is strong and always present. About 6500 bricks. Computer rendering but only existing bricks were used.

The sea is my home, don't you see? It is where my soul longs to be.

I feel a "photographic emptiness" these days. There seem to be no more grounds to break, no new ideas, virtually every photo has already been captured. Perhaps I set the bar too high. My only real inspiration right now are portraits of the people I love but I don't like to share them here on Flickr because they are too private. In this era of public sharing I feel I need to protect some areas of my life.

So the above photo was chosen mainly because it reflects my current state of mind quite well. By the ocean I often feel a very strong sense of longing. I also like to think of the solid rocks and the never ending waves of water impact they have to endure.

Comments without graphics are very much appreciated. Thank you!
